David Beckham shared a heartfelt birthday tribute to son Romeo on his 23rd birthday as fans speculate over ongoing family tensions with his eldest son Brooklyn
David Beckham has been vocal about his love for son Romeo with a heartfelt Instagram tribute as the feud with eldest son Brooklyn continues.
Taking to Instagram, the football legend shared adorable throwback snap of Romeo as a youngster with a sweet note.
Beckham captioned the post: “Happy 23rd Birthday to my little boy, you are kind, humble , polite , hard working and the most special person to everyone we love you so much x have the most special day HAPPY BIRTHDAY big boy @romeobeckham.”
Others in the comments wrote: “Happy 23rd Birthday RoRo .We all wish you all the best and we all love you.” A second added: “Happiest of All Birthdays beautiful Romeo!”
The sweet message comes at a time when family dynamics are reportedly rocky, particularly with Brooklyn.
Brooklyn was noticeably absent from David’s 50th birthday celebrations, which has lead to further speculation about the family feud. Dad David also included Romeo, alongside Cruz, Harper and absent Brooklyn, in a touching Father’s Day montage earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn’s name was noticeably missing from several of these family moments, a fact not lost on fans. Despite reports of estrangement, other sources suggest the Beckham patriarch is attempting to bridge the gap. On Father’s Day, David even ‘liked’ Brooklyn’s pasta making video, leading some to believe he is extending an olive branch.
Rumours of a rift between Brooklyn and his family began shortly after his lavish 2022 wedding to actress Nicola Peltz. Reports claimed Nicola clashed with Victoria Beckham over her choice of bridal gown, sparking speculation of tension between the new bride and her in-laws.
