EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley tied the knot with her long-term beau Mark Perez in a picturesque countryside ceremony in Harpenden, Hertfordshire on Thursday.

The 49-year-old actress, who recently shared her impressive 6.5 stone weight loss following surgery, looked radiant in a white ruffled dress featuring a boat neck and playful polka dot pattern.

She completed her bridal ensemble with a classic veil and pearl jewellery as she said “I do,” just a year and a half after bidding farewell to her character Karen Taylor on the popular soap.

As seen in photos obtained by Mail Online, post-ceremony, Lorraine proudly displayed her new wedding band while clutching her bouquet and sipping champagne with guests.

Her husband Mark cut a dapper figure in a green three-piece suit, crisp white shirt, and gold tie. Their ten year old daughter Nancy played the role of flower girl, looking adorable in a soft pink dress and floral hair accessories, reports the Mirror.

The sun-soaked ceremony was attended by loved ones, friends, and Lorraine’s former EastEnders colleague Danny Walters.

The handsome actor, who portrayed her on-screen son Keanu until his departure last Christmas, arrived in a light blue suit sans tie, accompanied by his partner Maddi. The pair recently welcomed a baby girl named Autumn.

In the run-up to her big day, Lorraine excitedly told The Mirror: “Yes, it’s very exciting! I’m getting married to my partner in a ceremony local to where we live in Hertfordshire.

“It’s going to be low-key. From my EastEnders gang, Danny Walters is coming. I wanted them all to come, but we’re just having a small, intimate wedding at a church, then a pub with a tepee and barbecue.”

The EastEnders star revealed that her daughter Nancy would be stealing the show as she admitted: “She’s the one wearing the big white wedding dress – well, the flower girl dress. Mine’s modest, really. But I’m so excited. Mark and I have been together for 12 years, it just felt like time.”

Explaining why the couple have chosen to tie the knot after more than a decade together, she continued: “We’re just in a really good place. You know, every couple goes through their ups and downs, but it feels right, we’re happy.

“Nancy wanted us to get married, I wanted his surname – I know some women don’t want that but I do. I want to be Mrs Perez. I’ve been abroad a few times with Nancy and was asked if she’s my daughter as we have different surnames on our passports. But it’s not just practicalities, it’s love.”

Earlier this month, Lorraine opened up about her weight loss transformation in preparation for her much-anticipated nuptials.

When the injections she had been using became ineffective, she chose to undergo gastric sleeve surgery two years ago. Speaking to New magazine, she said: “I went to a London clinic, paid an awful lot of money and had it done. It’s hands-down the best thing I’ve ever done, both for me and for my family.”

Lorraine also expressed her annoyance with the weight-loss injection Wegovy, stating: “It got to the point where I was injecting myself and eating at the same time.”

Since departing EastEnders in 2024, Lorraine has shed an impressive 6.5 stone and candidly talked about the journey behind her transformation.
