Emmerdale fans were left in tears after a recent episode of the ITV soap tune into Mack’s savage kidnap storyline, which viewers are begging writers to stop
Emmerdale fans are livid after another “cruel twist” on the ITV show.
After two weeks of captivity at the hands of murderer John Sugden, Mack Boyd managed to break free from the bunker where he was chained. Mack had previously been shot with an arrow and struck with a rock, leading fans to believe he was dead.
However, Mack is alive and John is ‘aiding him’ but refusing to let him leave, aware that he knows all his dark secrets. The latest episode saw Mack desperate to escape, knowing his best mate Aaron Dingle is now also in danger as his husband John has started drugging him.
Mack informed John about Aaron’s affair with his ex Robert Sugden, John’s brother, and in an attempt to regain control over Aaron he began drugging him. This caused Aaron to collapse and have a seizure in the woods.
Mack had barely escaped when he was stopped by John, who noticed his escape on the camera he’d installed. As John pledged to prevent Mack from leaving, he was distracted by Aaron shouting his name in distress, reports the Mirror.
As Mack told him he needed to go and save Aaron, John hit him over the head with a rock to stop him from going anywhere. As John departed, Mack managed to escape again, but this was also short-lived.
Mack mustered the strength to get up and make his way to a nearby road despite his broken ankle. As he reached the road, he managed a faint smile, relieved to have escaped and collapsed to the ground as a vehicle pulled over.
His thoughts immediately turned to Aaron and the danger he was in from John. When the driver emerged from the vehicle, Mack pleaded with them to help Aaron and put his own needs aside.
The driver was revealed to be John and the situation took a dark turn. As John approached Mack, axe in hand, the episode ended with a cliffhanger as viewers were left wondering if Mack had met his demise.
Although nothing has been confirmed fans were outraged by the twist, furious as they want Mack to survive and John to face justice. On X/Twitter one fan angrily stated: “This is the cruelest thing Emmerdale has ever done, I hate this f****** show.”
Another viewer commented: “I can’t believe it looks like Mack is actually getting killed,” while a third said: “I’m so annoyed,” and a fourth fan wrote: “I was just starting to feel fine and now I’m about to cry again.”
