Ferne McCann’s disgraced ex-boyfriend, Arthur Collins, has reportedly found love again behind bars. Collins, 32, is serving a 20-year prison sentence for a horrific acid attack at a nightclub that left 16 people with chemical burns.

During his time in prison, Collins, who was dating the former TOWIE star at the time of the attack, has allegedly formed a connection with former Love Island contestant Amelia Peters. It’s claimed that Collins initiated contact with the 26 year old ex-Islander in October after discovering her on Instagram.

A source claims the pair are now in regular communication, with Collins reportedly sending Peters bouquets of flowers. Peters has also allegedly visited Collins in prison on multiple occasions.

An insider revealed to the Sun: “They talk all the time – despite the fact he’s in jail. He’s got a phone they speak on and he’s sent her flowers a number of times.”

However, having a phone in prison is against the rules, and Collins previously received an eight-month sentence extension in 2018 for smuggling a phone into the prison. These recent developments follow an investigation into Collins’ suspected plot to smuggle drugs into Category C HMP The Mount using drones, reports the Mirror.

Prison bosses have initiated an investigation amid fears that dealers were inundating the prison with drugs via drones. There were suspicions that the criminal – who has a daughter, Sunday, with his former partner Ferne, 34 – had orchestrated the scheme in the Hertfordshire prison.

However, no police inquiry was conducted, and the Mirror reported he has been transferred to a more stringent prison. An insider revealed: “Collins has been at the centre of a major internal prison investigation.

“There were fears drug dealers had been using drones to flood HMP The Mount with drugs. It’s a huge worry that tens of thousands of pounds worth of drugs were going to make their way into the jail.

“The police have not been called in as it has been dealt with internally. Collins has now been moved to another prison, which is a lot stricter.”

When Collins was incarcerated, Ferne issued a statement. At the time, she stated: “Ferne’s thoughts are of course with the innocent people caught up in the events at Mangle last April. No-one should ever be faced with violence on a night out.”

Following the sentencing, she detailed how she visited Collins in prison and told him: “This is the last time you will see either of us.

“You have ruined our lives. This is what you have done. And this is what you are missing out on. You will never see us again.”
