The daughter of late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury has “done a DNA test” to prove her true parentage, according to the star’s biographer Lesley-Ann Jones
Freddie Mercury’s alleged secret child has taken a DNA test to prove that she is the offspring of the late rock legend.
Biographer Lesley-Ann Jones confirmed that “requisite verification was obtained” following queries about the shocking claim.
Jones declared: “To those ‘demanding’ to see proof of a DNA test, otherwise they won’t believe it – please rest assured that the requisite verification was obtained, legal teams have been involved, but that such measures are private and not shared publicly.”
She also slammed doubters of authenticity regarding new findings in Freddie’s unpublished diaries. Jones responded on X: “To those insisting Freddie Mercury’s diaries were faked with AI, that his daughter ‘doesn’t exist’ and that I’ve made the whole thing up: wait and see. His true story, told in his own words, is incredible. I love him all the more for it. You will too.”
Her forthcoming book, Love, suggests the openly gay singer had a daughter from an encounter with a friend’s wife; only a tight circle, including Queen bandmates and ex-girlfriend Mary Austin, were privy to this knowledge, reports the Mirror.
This now 48 year old woman, residing in Europe and herself a mother, asserts she’s always recognised Farrokh Bulsara—that’s Freddie’s birth name—as her dad. Notably, prior to passing away from Aids complications in 1991, he entrusted her with 17 diaries of his most personal thoughts.
It was her initiative to reach out to Jones and share her history.
The book, scheduled for release in September, contains a handwritten letter from the woman, referred to as B, in which she claims: “Freddie Mercury was and is my father. We had a very close and loving relationship from the moment I was born and throughout the final 15 years of his life.
“He adored me and was devoted to me. The circumstances of my birth may seem, by most people’s standards, unusual and even outrageous. That should come as no surprise. It never detracted from his commitment to love and look after me.
“Those who have been aware of my existence kept his greatest secret out of loyalty to Freddie.”
According to Lesley-Ann, Freddie even had a dedicated space in their family residence, enabling him to spend quality time with B whenever possible.
Even while touring the globe with Queen or working on new music in the recording studio, Freddie made a point to speak with B every day.
However, B is now seeking seclusion. She expressed her desire for anonymity: “The life I live with my husband and our family in another country is intensely private.
“We want things to stay that way. We cherish our peaceful and anonymous life, and we want nothing to disturb it. Nobody needs to know who I am.”
