Gallagher brother in court after being charged with rape and making threats to kill

Paul Gallagher has appeared in court after being charged with rape and making threats to kill. The 59-year-old was arrested in July is also accused of coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation and assault occasioning actual bodily harm

His arrest came just weeks after his famous brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher launched their Oasis reunion tour.

Paul, who works as a DJ, had been due to make an appearance at an afterparty for the Oasis gig in Dublin but was dropped after his arrest.

The Met Police confirmed his arrest came after an investigation which was launched last year.

A spokesperson said: “A man has been charged with numerous offences – including rape, coercive control and sexual assault.

“Paul Gallagher, 59, of Manor Park Road, East Finchley, has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

“The offences are reported to have taken place between 2022 – 2024. The charges follow an investigation which commenced in 2024. A woman is being supported by specially-trained officers.

“Gallagher will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 27 August.”

It’s believed Paul was living in a north London flat purchased by Noel in 2004.

While he has worked as a DJ and photographer, he was never part of Oasis despite his brothers’ global fame.

Oasis have finished the UK leg of their Live ’25 Tour and have headed to North America.

They are next due to perform at Soldier Field in Chicago on August 28, before other dates in the US and around the world.
