Gordon Ramsay has undergone surgery for cancer.
The 58-year-old celebrity chef, known for his iconic shows Kitchen Nightmares and Hell’s Kitchen, recently took to Instagram to tell concerned followers that he has had surgery to remove cancer from the side of his face.
He posted a picture an issued a warning to fans, stating: “Grateful and so appreciative for the incredible team at The Skin Associates and their fast reactive work on removing this Basal Cell Carcinoma, thank you!”
“Please don’t forget your sunscreen this weekend [red heart emoji] I promise you it’s not a face lift! I need a refund….”
Gordon’s comment section was flooded with friends, fans and fellow celebs wishing him a speedy recovery. One person wrote: “Get well soon, dear chef,” while another said: “Well done you for getting a skin check! Something we should all be lining up for.”
More people left him heart emojis as one comment read: “So glad you’re sorted! Speedy recovery chef,” a second said: “Glad you’re okay,” and a third: “Good job for making people aware of things like this.”
Someone else chimed in: “So important to share things like this, slap on a hat, suncream and seek shade, happy healing. Well done to the amazing people who work in healthcare who do amazing work like this.”
Gordon’s shocking news comes soon after he recently admitted he is “embarrassed” by how many luxury cars he owns.
The petrolhead has spent millions on classic motors and sports cars, racking up an impressive collection over the years. He recently appeared on the Smartless podcast and admitted: “I’m embarrassed about the collection.”

“The only way I really get to understand these cars is on the track. Three or four times a year we rent a track out, truck them down there, I bring in mates. Silverstone and Thruxton, the biggest track in the UK.”
“I’ve been collecting for over 20 years, I think it’s about 94. The majority of the cars we have are all in this incredible hanger that we’ve just built.”

The TV star put his obsession down to growing up poor in Scotland: “I think it’s growing up in poverty, on a council estate, a sort of deprived area.”
“Going to school with holes in your trousers and your mum having to put leather patches on your knees that turned out quite cool. Getting called out by your mates for dinner tickets because you don’t have the money to buy food.”

Since then, Gordon has gone on to become the most recognised TV chef in the world and also owns a chain of restaurants. However, he revealed that he has only eaten at his own restaurants twice in 25 years because eating there makes him squirm: “All the attention makes me uncomfortable!”
