Armed police were reportedly called to Gordon Ramsay’s mansion in Los Angeles following reports of a shooting at the TV chef’s property
Gordon Ramsay’s mansion was swarmed by armed police after reports of a shooting.
The TV chef’s Los Angeles residence was surrounded by police after a hoax call. The prankster reportedly informed the authorities that they’d heard gunshots at Gordon’s home.
Cops encircled the Scottish chef’s home following a call made at 8.40pm local time, claiming a shooter had fired gunshots at the Bel Air property.
Police quickly discovered the claims were false and neighbours reportedly also informed them that all had been quiet before they arrived. Ramsay was reportedly away from his home when the incident occurred.
Law sources told TMZ that the prank was another “swatting” stunt. Detectives are now investigating and no-one has been arrested so far.
These types of bogus calls are reportedly doing the rounds over in America, reports the Mirror. Earlier this month, Nicki Minaj’s Hidden Hills home got caught up in the same type of prank after reports of a shooting came in.
Jennifer Aniston, Chris Brown, Rihanna and Justin Bieber have all previously been targeted.
Elsewhere in Gordon Ramsay news, Snoop Dogg has revealed that he dreams of opening a restaurant with the Kitchen Nightmares host.
He spoke to Daily Record and said: “I have told him I want to open a restaurant with him, and maybe it might even be in Glasgow.”
“For real. We are always swapping cooking tips, and I do mean swapping. It’s not just one-way traffic, I send him tips as well, he respects Snoop as a chef.”
“My boy Gordon has got a worse mouth than me, but that’s only because of his passion. You don’t become the best chef in the world without having the passion he does.”
Snoop has previously expressed his love for Glasgow’s Celtic and even suggested that he’d like to invest in the sports club. The rapper is also interested in performing at Celtic Park if the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony is held there in 2026.
“I know people are going to say I am a little biased, but yeah, any opening ceremony should be at Celtic Park.”
“I might be a Celtic fan, but I think most people, Celtic fans or not, recognise it has one of the greatest stadiums in the world.”
Snoop said that hosting the opening ceremony there “would be perfect” and hinted that maybe he would “get a chance to perform there”.
