Helen Flanagan has been ranting about her driving ban.

The 34-year-old who played Rosie Webster on Coronation Street was banned from driving for six months back in January. Her £66k Audi Q7 was caught speeding twice in Merseyside in June of last year.

The soap star launched into a rant about not being able to drive and how much of a “pain in the a***” it had been as she can’t run errands or go shopping. She vented her frustration in a clip shared on Instagram, five months being handed the ban.

She told fans: “I literally can’t tell you what a pain in the a*** not having [my driving licence] because I live in the middle of nowhere, and of course I haven’t been driving. It’s just been so b****y annoying, for example we are out of loo roll now and I can’t pop out to the shops to get loo roll so my friend has to bring me loo roll.”

She revealed her ADHD had caused her to mix up the paperwork she needed to reapply for her licence, so the process would now take longer. Helen also admitted she and ex Scott Sinclair were back “co-parenting in the same house”.

The pair split in 2022 after 13 years together and share kids Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three. Helen went on: “So it’s Matilda’s birthday and Delilah’s birthday, they had the same due date, and there is seven days between their birthdays and that’s like hectic.

“So Scott is off at football but we are back co-parenting in the same house, which we don’t usually do. But it actually went OK, so obviously we have to do that because it’s the kids’ birthdays.”

Helen had told the court her ex boyfriend, Robbie Talbot had been driving her car when it was caught speeding. She also said she was “struggling” financially and that she would find it difficult without a car as she lives in such a remote area.

The actress was fined as well as handed a driving ban back in January. Chairman David Holley told the court: “There will be a fine in respect of both offences of £1,000, £2,000 in total. In addition there will be six penalty points for each offence. In the normal course of events, you would be disqualified from driving today.

“We have listened carefully to everything said today, in particular we take into account the arguments in relation to your three children, the impact your children’s father would suffer, your current partner and the impact a ban would have on your mental health.

“It is a high bar to pass and it is inevitable that every disqualification comes with an element of hardship. We are not satisfied that you or those around you would suffer exceptional hardship if you were disqualified from driving.”

Helen reportedly split from Robbie a few weeks ago. It’s believed she wanted to have children with the former footballer, 45, who himself is a parent of two.

However, it’s claimed she realised their relationship wasn’t working out and is now looking to focus on her career and kids. A source told The Sun: “They want different things in life. She has just landed a new acting job and is trying to juggle work projects with the kids.

“She sat him down two weeks ago and said, ‘This isn’t working.’ It was a grown-up chat. She just wants to be on her own for a while although she still has feelings for him.”
