Hollyoaks star Tamara Wall has sparked concern among her fans as she shared that she collapsed in a supermarket earlier this week and gushed over the ‘hero’ shopper
Hollyoaks actress Tamara Wall left fans fretting after she keeled over in a Morrisons. The 47-year-old telly star took to Instagram with a snap alongside a supermarket worker, thanking him for swooping to her rescue when she hit the deck.
In her post, Tamara sang praises for the Morrisons staff in Warrington, calling one chap her “actual hero” for his quick action when she collapsed. She penned: “Dear @morrisons I need you to know how amazing your staff in Warrington are!! This guy in particular was my actual hero when I collapsed in their store, I cannot give enough thanks to all the staff for being so unbelievable lovely!”
The supermarket hero then chimed in on the comments, saying: “It was my pleasure @tamarawall13 and I’m glad your ok.” Worried followers piled into the comments section, with one posting: “Hope you’re okay and I’m glad someone was there to help!”
Jessamy Stoddart, who stars as Liberty Savage in Hollyoaks, also expressed her concern: “Oh Tam. I hope you’re ok xxx”, reports the Mirror.
Gemma Bissix, known for her role as Clare Devine on the soap, commended Tamara for bouncing back swiftly after the scare. She commented: “Yayyyyy you went back!!! Thank you to all at Morrisons Warrington for looking after my sis!!!” adding a couple of green hearts for good measure.
She also expressed her admiration in another comment: “Also you are my HERO… coming into work the next day filming a full day of scenes!!! Sick day? What sick day? x.”
Tamara, famed for her stint on Hollyoaks since 2013, was gutted when she learned in 2023 that her character was getting the chop. Chatting to OK! magazine, she confessed: “It’s absolutely devastating. When I got told, I bawled my eyes out for three days, I was so upset – it’s been the best time of my life.
“It wasn’t my decision, but I understand. It’s the name of the game, and Grace was going to get her comeuppance at some point. In the end, she probably deserved it. But I’m sure she’ll find her way out eventually, she’ll be back.”
Despite an initial plan for Grace’s Hollyoaks departure to be final, Tamara made a comeback after the show saw new bosses take over. Fast forward to 2024, and Tamara’s officially back on the cast roster.
The drama didn’t stop there for the soap as Grace’s sister Clare Devine shocked fans with a return from the dead. Tamara couldn’t contain her excitement about Clare’s return, which marked the first time the siblings would share the screen.
Last month, Tamara posted snaps with Gemma, captioning them: “FINALLY THIS IS HAPPENING! Where do I even begin ….. to say I was excited when I heard @gbissix was coming back is an understatement!! In fact I cried down the phone when she told me!
“I’ve been honoured to have had this gorgeous, incredible, talented, funny and unbelievably loving woman in my life for close to 12 years and to say I love her doesn’t do it enough justice ….. but she knows exactly what she means to me! Finally after all this time we actually get to work together!
“And when I say work I mean we’re basically playing best friend dress up all day, everyday working with Gemma is such a dream and I literally can’t wait for you guys to see what we’ve been up to! I’ve always loved my job but now it’s been made even better! So watch this space cause sisters are doing it for themselves!”
