EXCLUSIVE: An iconic, chart-topping DJ has spoken to Daily Star about his experience performing around the world and rubbing shoulders with celeb royalty
DJ legend Roger Sanchez has mingled with some seriously famous faces.
The music icon, known for his hits Another Chance, Again and Lost, spoke exclusively with Daily Star and revealed: “Definitely hung with a few well known people such as Kylie and Dannii Minogue, I’ve shared decks with Idris Elba! A few footballers have come through some of my events as well but to be honest, I’m normally so focused on mixing that I only get to say: “Hi,” then back into the mix.”
As for any future A-list collaborations, Roger has his sights set on some very famous faces: “There are some amazing UK artists who I vibe with their music, interestingly from different genres. Little Simz is someone on the UK Hip Hop scene who I’m really into and would love to collaborate with at some point.”
“Sade and Bjork have been my all time dream artists to work with!”
As for Roger’s 2025 plans, the DJ told us he has “new music coming” as well as “Ibiza residencies and international touring”. He will also be performing at BEONIX Festival, which is held in Cyprus from 19 – 21 September.
The event takes place at a historic former winery and is known for art installations and murals, as well as world-class DJs from far and wide. BEONIX is a sensory experience and this year’s lineup looks to be the best so far, with 2025 headliners including Adriatique, Armin van Buuren, Boris Brejcha, Dubfire, Len Faki, Maceo Plex and of course, Roger Sanchez.
Acts like Juliet Fox, Kole Audro, Marlie and Highjacks will also be performing. The appeal is something for everyone – from techno to house, there’s a wide range of genres on offer at BEONIX’s four stages.
Book your tickets now – festivalgoers have the option of purchasing general admission day passes, VIP standing, VIP backstage and VIP table tickets. These won’t be around for much longer, so make sure you and your friends grab a ticket each and prepare for four days of electronic music goodness.
