Emmerdale fans are convinced Mackenzie Boyd’s life is in danger as he is yet to have his flash-forward scene aired on the ITV soap
Emmerdale enthusiasts are worried that Mackenzie Boyd could be in serious danger, as the character’s flashforward scene has yet to be broadcast on the ITV soap.
Almost three months ago, on New Year’s Eve, the long-standing programme aired several flashforwards, offering audiences a sneak peek at what’s in store for 2025. These included a scene of Caleb Miligan (William Ash) battling for his life while flatlining in a hospital.
There was also a chilling clip of someone trapped beneath a frozen lake, which has been confirmed as Amy Barton (Natalie Ann Jamieson) following the tragic limo accident in February.
However, another flashforward clip featured fan-favourite Mack (Lawrence Robb) fleeing in terror through a forest.
Recent happenings around the village have revealed that Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) is dead in the frozen lake and remains undiscovered. Fans are rife with speculation, suspecting that John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) may be his killer.
John has been a key player in the Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) murder plot, having concealed the crime by hiding the disgraced pensioner’s body in the woods. Some viewers believe John is the one who dealt the fatal blow to Anthony, despite Ruby (Beth Cordingly) believing she’s the guilty party, reports Leeds Live.
John remained cool and composed when disposing of the body, while others were left consumed by fear and guilt.
Emmerdale fans are now predicting that John might be a serial killer and that he’s pursuing Mack through the woods in a potential death twist.
One fan took to Reddit to share their theory, saying: “I think I’m still banking on the Mackenzie one being him running away from John. I still think that John’s a dodgy bloke and behind Nate’s death and reckon Mack might find something/something out, which results in John chasing him down.”
Another fan joined the speculation, commenting: “I do think Mack is going to die at John’s hand (or whoever Nate’s killer is). I’m convinced the writers will use it to end Mack and push Charity and dreary Vanessa back together. Ugh.”
They also added: “It also develops a serial killer storyline, as well as giving Moira more material. And it probably leads to Chloe’s return (UGH), which gives Kerry more material in the wake of Amy’s exit.”
A third fan expressed concern for the character, stating: “I am actually worried for Mack. I think he may get killed off. I really like him.”
Yet another viewer suspects Joe Tate’s involvement, suggesting: “Mack will be running from Joe. I have no idea why, but they just seem to be tying him to all the plots at the Mo.”
