The former actress revealed she had been the victim of a terrifying break-in which saw iPads and bikes being stolen from her dance studio, released striking footage of the incident
Jennifer Ellison says her dance studio was the victim of a targeted break-in.
The former actress, 42, took to social media to share the horrifying crime with followers, releasing CCTV footage of the robber carrying out his heinous acts. She has since appealed to the public to help find the man, who is believed to have stolen several iPads and bikes.
On top of the stolen tech, other items have been reportedly stolen, including laptops and personal belongings – all being used by her young students, according to the Sun. Taking to social media, Jennifer pleaded with her followers to help identify the man so that she can bring the man to justice.
“Anyone who tells me who this RAT is and where he’ll be or lives I’ll give a HUGE reward!” she fumed as she released the footage. “He’s broken into our school at 5am took all of our bikes, laptops iPads!!! THE LOT!!!!”
The Brookside star went on to release further footage of the incident, which is believed to have taken place at 5am on Wednesday morning (July 23). The images see the man rooting through the studio’s till, as Jennifer wrote in horror: “The rat went everywhere, took drinks!”
Later on in the day, Jennifer gave an update on the fast-moving investigation, saying that one of the bikes that had been stolen during the break-in was now recovered. However, fans watching the chaos unfold soon shared their support for the distressed actress-turned-teacher.
“Hope everything gets returned safely. Horrible horrible people,” wrote one concerned fan. Others wrote in the comments that they had privately reached out to Jennifer with any information and support they could give her as part of her investigation.
Basing her dance studio in her native Liverpool, Jennifer launched Jelli Studios after she opted to leave the world of television behind her. Instead, she has since been working on her studio, wanting to give children “elite intense Dance and Musical Theatre training for those wanting a long successful career in the Professional Industry of Performing Arts”.
Jennifer’s studio has since had its own stint at fame, having been featured in the 2014 British adaptation of the TLC hit show Dance Moms. The show followed the actress as she helped to nurture the early careers of some of its bright new students.
The Scouse actress has had a stellar acting career of her own, after bursting onto the scene as Emily O’Leary on Brookside for five years, before the show was eventually cancelled in 2003. Since then, she has made major acting credits, including a stint on an adaptation of Phantom of the Opera in 2004.
After a long stint in the limelight, Jennifer opted to move away from the public – instead opting to focus on her studio and help the new generation of actors and dancers push their way into the scene. However, she did make an appearance on gruelling Channel 4 show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins in recent years.
