I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Roman Kemp has revealed that he was once “escorted out” of an interview with Jennifer Lawrence after he got a huge tattoo of her face in a bid to impress her
Jennifer Lawrence had Roman Kemp escorted out of a film junket interview by security after he revealed a “huge transferable” tattoo of her face, which she didn’t find amusing.
Roman, 32, managed to embarrass himself spectacularly by getting an image of the 34-year-old actress’s face inked above his right pec. However, the stunt backfired as he was told he could “never interview her again”.
Sharing a throwback photo on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday (29.07. 25), showing a youthful Roman flaunting his Jennifer Lawrence tattoo, he captioned it: “Found this old picture of when I interviewed Jennifer Lawrence and for fun pretended to be a mega fan complete with a tattoo..
“She did NOT find it funny. I was escorted out by security and told I would never interview her again.” In another post on his Instagram Stories, The One Show presenter admitted he hasn’t spoken to the Die My Love actress since the incident.
He joked: “Tbf still haven’t had the chance to redeem myself or explain the situation to her… (sic)”. In a 2017 interview, Roman confessed that Jennifer didn’t “get” the joke.
He recalled: “I went to a film junket of one of Jennifer Lawrence’s films and you know, like every other man on the planet, I have the biggest crush ever on her, right?”.
“In my head, I’m thinking, ‘OK, how do I embarrass myself as much as possible?'”. So I got a huge transferrable tattoo of Jennifer Lawrence’s face on my chest that looked really good, but she just didn’t get it.”
He recalled: “She just looked at it like, ‘Oh my God, where’s my security? Please get this kid out the room.'”. Roman also confessed in the chat that making others squirm doesn’t sit well with him.
The former Capital Breakfast radio host reasoned: “I don’t like people feeling uncomfortable ever, that’s not my thing. “I think I have a nice connection with the artist, because I don’t ask those questions that they don’t want to be asked.
“I’d rather have fun because I think you get more out of someone if they’re happy anyway. But don’t get me wrong, you come up against it a lot.”
It’s not the only time Roman has had to warn fans of embarrassing body markings after it was brutally suntanned last year.
The I’m A Celeb star had been taking off to the Adriatic nation of Montenegro for some much needed time off. Kemp left fans concerned after he showed the downside of sunning himself in the Balkan jewel. He went on to share a rather grim photo of himself, looking as red as a tomato in a new selfie.
Appearing rather glum, Kemp’s face was burned to a crisp as he laid on the bed trying to make himself feel comfortable. Penning in the caption, the star – self-aware of his mistake – said: “A slideshow of why you should wear SPF in Montenegro.”
Fans were quick to show support for the presenter, with many flooding to the comments section to give him their best wishes for a quick recovery. One worried fan wrote: “Ouch dude, that doesn’t look good; defo get some Aloe Vera.”
A second user added: “That looks sore!” While a third worried account tried to lighten the mood as they joked: “I remember my first holiday.”
