Jeremy Clarkson is going through it with his farming career, after revealing that Diddly Squat farm had been struck down by a TB outbreak this week
Jeremy Clarkson has shared the tragic news that one of his puppies has died. The bad news continues after he revealed on Thursday that Diddly Squat farm has been struck down by TB. His latest update confirmed he was having to shut the farm for two months to deal with the disease.
However, during an appearance on Times Radio, the former Top Gear star revealed the bad news was continuing, as one of his puppies has also died over the last 24 hours.
The 65-year-old said: “It’s awful, it is awful. You have a test every six months on the cows and then you sort of become blasé, it’s a hypothetical threat.
“And then the vet looks up as he did yesterday lunchtime and said ‘I’m really sorry this one’s failed’. So that means we’re now locked down and it’s just dreadful, absolutely dreadful.”
He went on: “It’s only been not even 24 hours since I found out and it occupies my mind.
“Well it was occupying my mind but I got up this morning and found one of my puppies has died. And we’ve got a very sickly calf. Honestly, farming? I’m not enjoying it this week.”
His partner Lisa Hogan also shared the sad news on Instagram, after documenting the puppies.
Each of them were identified by a different coloured collar, and sadly it was “Mr Grey” who has died.
Sharing a video of the remaining pups, she said: “Sad news this morning. Mr Grey has gone to fur and feather land.”
Her followers were quick to share their condolences, with one writing: “Oh so sad.”
Another said: “Oh no… this is so upsetting.”
A third wrote: “Aw I’m so sorry… poor mum she looks so sad… take care all of you… it’s so harsh bringing puppies into the world. Huge hugs.”
Someone else commented: “Oh poor love. She looks so sad.”
Jeremy and Lisa’s dog Arya gave birth to 11 adorable puppies just days ago, with the couple sharing the exciting news on social media.
They said: “Well done Arya, our lioness of 11 and to all the other champion Lionesses! Quite the Sunday victory.”
