Lisa Hogan, who stars in Clarkson’s Farm, has spilled the beans on getting sacked after customers complained during her bar work stint.

The Prime Video sensation features Lisa as she assists her partner, Jeremy Clarkson, in managing his Oxfordshire farm. The fourth season of the show dropped on the streaming service in May, with the latest episodes landing just last week.

This series saw Jeremy tackling the farm solo while Lisa focused on developing a new product range, and Kaleb Cooper set off on a national tour. With some additional hands on deck at the farm, Jeremy found himself with time to ponder, leading him to hatch a plan to purchase a pub.

Although viewers are accustomed to seeing Lisa take charge at the farm, her history with pubs isn’t quite as successful, reports Gloucestershire Live.

Lisa said: “I was fired from a bar in Australia! Some people had ordered a bottle of wine, and I couldn’t get the cork out, so I put the bottle between my legs, and pulled. There might have been some comments made by the men at the table, they were being a bit naughty, and I might have given them back as good as I got. They complained and I was fired.”

She went on: “Jeremy seems to specialise in picking ventures that are notoriously hard to make a living from. He had it all worked out. He had the brewery. He had the animals. He’d grown the vegetables. It was a breeze.

“Verbally, yes, it is a breeze, but then we wouldn’t do anything if we knew what lay ahead, would we? So, he does like a challenge. It’s his nature to be constantly annoyed and p***** off at things. So owning a pub is a manna from heaven for him. He loves a good moan.”

Lisa had some design ideas for the new venture, with the couple bringing in multiple experts to help get the pub off the ground. After confessing that he was losing sleep over the challenges he had encountered with the pub, Jeremy came up with a smart solution for creating more space at a reasonable cost.

“We took out the Grand Tour tent, which had been sitting in storage. It has such a great vibe inside, and so light and beautiful. Compared to the farm shop, there’s loads of space. The customers aren’t there to judge – they just want a little bit of Diddly Squat to rub off on them.”
