Jessie J was recently admitted back into hospital just weeks after she had one of her breasts removed to stop cancer spreading, and coincidentally ended up on the same ward as before
Jessie J’s health has taken a beating following her recent cancer surgery.
The songstress was urgently taken to hospital due to an infection, just six weeks after having one of her breasts removed, and was informed that she now has an infection and fluid accumulation in her lungs.
Jessie posted a photo from her hospital bed and a picture of a cannula in her hand with the caption: “How I spent the last 24 hours. 6 weeks post-surgery, and I was back in the same ward I was after my surgery.”
“Not expected or planned. I had and still have symptoms that pointed towards a blood clot in the lung. IT IS NOT A BLOOD CLOT, THANK GOD.”
Jessie said that doctors “ran a lot of tests” which concluded that she has an infection, although they are “still trying to figure out what”. The star also revealed that she “has a little fluid on her lungs”.
She wrote: “Finding it hard to breathe in but I discharged myself last night (I hate being in hospital) and will continue the investigation as an outpatient,” reports the Express.
This incident follows Jessie’s announcement that test results following her surgery to remove one of her breasts showed no spread of cancer. In July, she told fans on social media that she was shedding “happy tears” upon receiving the positive news from her doctors.
Jessie made her diagnosis public in June and fans rallied around the singer in support.
She expressed gratitude to her 14 million social media followers for their “prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy, and all the positive energy”.
