After their relationship blossomed on-screen, Celebrity Big Brother legends JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes are set for another major boost as they enter talks for their own show
JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes are in talks to land their own romantic reality show.
The couple have been happily together since they confirmed their relationship just weeks after their Celebrity Big Brother stint. Since then, the pair have been sharing heartwarming updates about each other as fans have watched their blooming love blossom further.
Now, as the pair continue to win over the public with their doting antics, the couple could be close to scoring a major deal that would benefit both their careers. According to sources, JoJo and Chris are now looking at documenting their life together in a new fly-on-the-wall series.
Speaking to The Sun, a source close to the pair confirmed that ITV were looking to snatch the opportunity to show the unlikely couple’s newfound romance and share it with the world. They added that bosses at the channel are incredibly confident in the interest, that the show could go global.
“It’s still in the early stages but ITV really think they’d be amazing TV with their own show,” the insider said. “Fans around the world are obsessed with their relationship and there are so many TikTok accounts devoted to their love story.”
The source added: “Chris and JoJo are keen too, and while there is no deal signed yet, the talks have been really promising. ITV are eyeing up the show to air on ITV2, hopefully later this year once everything is signed on the dotted line.”
Should the deal go through, this would not be Chris’ first reality TV rodeo. After shooting to fame on Love Island back in 2017, he charmed the hearts of the nation as he wooed then-girlfriend Olivia Attwood with his gentle nature and hilarious comedic timing.
After they narrowly missed out on winning the show, ITV bosses took a risk with the couple and gave Chris and Olivia their own programme on now-defunct ITVBe. Titled “Chris & Olivia: Crackin’ On”, the show followed the couple’s everyday lives, including the fiery outbursts and heartwrenching tears before the couple called it quits.
Chris would go on to score a second show on ITV together with his Love Island bestie Kem Cetinay. Branded “You vs. Chris & Kem”, the game show put members of the public up against the duo in a series of different challenges, including naked boules, as well as horse skateboarding.
Fans were left bewildered when Dance Moms legend JoJo, 22, confirmed that she was now in a relationship together with ITV fave Chris, 32. After meeting in the Celebrity Big Brother house, fans watched as the couple grew closer together despite JoJo identifying as a lesbian – and was in a relationship on the outside.
With their relationship now working long-distance, the rumoured show will look at how the couple are navigating the thousands of miles that separate them. It comes as JoJo was left sobbing as she bid the UK farewell after three weeks of bliss with her beau Chris.
The Karma singer returned to the UK back in May to perform a gig, and took the time to make an extended stop to spend time with Chris. Describing the relationship as “earthquake proof, fireproof and bulletproof”, the dancer said the pair’s relationship was only going from strength to strength, admitting she now has found her “happy place” with him.
