The BAFTA TV Awards are in full swing but Radio 1 presenter Kate Lawler had a bite of a nightmare when trying on her shapewear before the star-studded swanky event
Kate Lawler suffered an BAFTA TV Awards outfit blunder after she opted for crotchless underwear for the star-studded ceremony.
As she tried on her shapewear before the BAFTA Awards event, she showed fans her flesh-coloured underwear from Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS. She posted a video on Instagram with the caption: “I bought @skims undies. Didn’t realise it came crotchless. Who’s actually used the pee hole and does it not get wet? I’m scared.
“I also said it’s a no but don’t really have a choice with what I’m wearing today. Wish me and my front bottom good luck.” She could be heard in the video saying: “Is everyone’s SKIMS underwear like this? I can’t breathe.
“Can’t work out if I’ve torn the crotch or if there’s a pee hole in there. If there is a pee hole in there, I can’t wear it.”
Kate is hosting on the BAFTAs TV red carpet tonight alongside her fellow broadcaster Angela Scanlon, who replied to her post: “It’s a pee hole!!! So we’ve heard.”
A fan added in the comments: “Why are you wearing it?! Surely you don’t need any sucking in, you look amazing!! X”
A second shared: “This is hilarious, made my day.” While a third penned: “Kate wot the f… u deffo don’t need the skims, u have a great figure.”
Whereas another put: “On a hot day that looks like a disaster.”
Among the nominees for tonight, Gavin & Stacey’s Ruth Jones could take home a gong for her performance as Nessa in the BBC series finale, as well as former EastEnders star Danny Dyer for his role in Sky comedy Mr Bigstuff and the panel of ITV daytime’s Loose Women.
Also on the list are The Traitors, Saturday Night Take- away and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, as well as police shows Blue Lights and The Responder.
Other shows getting an honourable mention on the list are Strictly, Graham Norton and Dragons’ Den are in the race too.
