Katie Price has said she has ‘learned from her past’ and ‘doesn’t need to rise to people’ after ex-husband Peter Andre released a statement slamming her ‘baseless lies’
Katie Price has said she’s “at peace” following Peter Andre’s public statement slamming her “baseless lies”. The former glamour model has been at the centre of a public feud with her ex-husband after Peter released a rare statement about the legal agreement on the care of their children, Junior and Princess. It appeared to only worsen this week when ex-husband Alex Reid leaked a video in which she spoke about Peter’s kids with wife Emily.
It followed weeks of Katie talking about how upset she was to have been snubbed from Princess’ ITV series. The 47-year-old said after Peter’s statement that she wouldn’t be “gaslighted” any more, and has now doubled down on her podcast.
Speaking to sister Sophie on The Katie Price Show, she said: “It’s been full on [this week], but I want people to know: I own my s***.
“It’s very well documented, and I’ve always said how I’ve learned from my past. I’d always have a reaction to things, then it would spiral out of control, and this and that, and then spiralling out of control would make more headlines.
“I’m so at peace with everything. At. Peace. I don’t need to rise to people, and what I say on my podcast is generally my opinion, what I feel, and I don’t lie about anything. Nothing.”
She added: “Everything’s in my lawyer’s hands now. I’m not being bullied or gaslighted anymore from anybody.”
As well as Peter’s statement, Katie’s other two husbands made headlines in the past week too.
Kieran Hayler spoke out after Princess discussed how difficult his and Katie’s break-up was for her growing up, saying he wanted to apologise to her.
Then earlier this week, Alex released a video, believed to be from 2020, of Katie counting cash and talking about Peter and his kids with wife Emily and branding them “irrelevant”.
Katie continued on her podcast: “I find people from my past still go beyond about me. It’s like, are they all that obsessed? Just chill out and get on with your own life.”
It’s not just her ex-husbands Katie has had negative headlines with though, as there have been countless reports on the state of her relationship with daughter Princess.
But Katie said: “She knows the score, she knows what it’s like, but she also knows, because we always talk, we know that everything’s not always what it seems.
“I love my kids, and that’s all that matters – and they love me.”
