Katie Price encouraging daughter Princess, 17, to ‘sign up for Love Island’

Katie Price has suggested that her daughter Princess Andre should sign up for Love Island as the news of her daughter’s split from her long term boyfriend recently broke

Katie Price has encouraged her 17-year-old daughter to go on Love Island.

Princess recently split from her boyfriend of two years and mum Katie, 47, has been encouraging her daughter to explore the idea of going on Love Island.

While chatting with her sister Sophie Price on the Katie Price Show podcast the former glamour model revealed she’s nudged Princess towards the series, reports the Mirror.

On the latest instalment of her podcast Katie quipped: “Love Island starts soon. I keep saying to Princess: ‘Why don’t you do Love Island?’

The ex-glamour model, who famously found love with her now ex-hubby Peter Andre on I’m A Celebrity, then said that her daughter isn’t keen on being pegged as a Love Island contestant.

After discussing the possibility, Katie said that Princess replied: “‘No … because otherwise I’ll be known as a Love Islander’. I said: ‘No, you won’t. Everyone knows you anyway’.”

A source told The Sun that there are “no hard feelings” between Princess and her ex-boyfriend.

The insider claimed: “She always kept the romance out the public eye and it will be the same with her split. They just grew apart – they were each other’s first love so it has been tough but there are no hard feelings.”

“He’s still on good terms with both Katie and Peter,” the source added. They also suggested that Princess is now focusing on her career following the break up and isn’t seeking a new relationship.

Katie’s remarks come amid rumours about the cast for the upcoming series of Love Island, which is due to start in June. ITV announced the launch date, hinting in an Instagram post that it begins June 9.

The date was spotted on a piece of paper attached to a heart floating in a pool in a photo shared on the platform earlier this week. “Mark your calendar, you’re invited to this year’s hottest meeting,” the caption read.
