Katie Price is said to be ‘heartbroken’ after a reported rift between her and daughter Princess Andre as the former glamour model compares herself to Brooklyn Beckham
Katie Price is reportedly feeling cut off from daughter.
Princess has launched her first TV programme The Princess Diaries and the 18 year old daughter of Katie, 47, and former husband Peter Andre, 52, has spoken candidly to cameras for ITV programme.
It appears the mother-daughter duo may have had a private disagreement which has prompted Pricey to compared herself to Brooklyn Beckham, David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son who is reportedly in a feud with the rest of his family.
A source told The Sun: “Katie feels isolated and disregarded. She loves Princess so much and is supremely proud of the young woman she is becoming.”
“Katie has been made to feel like a pariah when it comes to Princess’s professional life. She feels a bit like Brooklyn Beckham, with no one in the Andre family really speaking to her.”
They explained: “Even Katie’s mum Amy, who cherishes Princess, has been dragged into it all. She is so heartbroken about what is going on.” The insider also said that the former glamour model have hoped to have some involvement in guiding Princess’ career as she has “seen and done it all”.
However, the source insisted that the pair remain close behind closed doors. Despite speculation about a family feud, Princess revealed in one moment on her new show: “I love her, [Katie] she’s like my best friend,” reports the Mirror.
During the show, Princess opened up about how Katie’s break up with Kieran Hayler impacted both her and her mum, confessing that she’s uncertain whether she’s fully moved past it.
Princess explained: “He was in our lives for like five years so we got really close to him and obviously we loved him. He did a lot of stuff and when they split up everything kind of went down hill.”
“My mum, obviously being heartbroken, didn’t deal with that the best way. She went through a very, very dark time, which is understandable,” she said, before explaining that she was “around adulty things that kids should never see”.
” I think as well when we needed our mum there, she wasn’t emotionally able to be there because she had so much of her own problems going on.”
