Reality TV star Katie Price has shared her thoughts on the father of her eldest son Harvey’s dad, ex footballer Dwight Yorke, who hasn’t had contact with him in years
Katie Price has shared how she really feels about the father of her eldest son, Dwight Yorke – saying ‘the door is always open’.
The reality TV icon has chatted to Katherine Ryan on her ‘What’s My Age Again’ podcast about Harvey’s dad, who hasn’t seen in years. Katie, 47, revealed despite years of no contact with Harvey, 23, she is still leaving the door open for the ex footballer, 53, to come back into Harvey’s life.
Katie explained: “I would love it if he saw Harvey, the door is always open. He’d be so proud of Harvey. I just want him to see Harvey, because he’ll be so proud, how can he not? He’s so lovable.
Comedienne Katherine responded: “I’m sure he does see Harvey. If I know Harvey.” Before Katie replied: “If he does listen to this, don’t be stubborn and think, ‘It’s been too long’. You’re always welcome to see Harvey.”
Katie added that the only thing Harvey says, if he sees a photo of his dad, is “he’s black”.
Katherine declared she would have a different boundary as she wouldn’t tolerate it with the father of her kids and said “I would not welcome him.”
Katherine then highlighted the fact that fans have a lot of respect for Katie for how much of a doting mum Katie is to her son Harvey who has Prader-Willi syndrome, which sparks a constant desire to eat food and a permanent feeling of hunger which leads to obesity.
Harvey also battles a series of debilitating conditions including autism, septo-optic dysplasia, ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder.
Katherine praised the star: “It think it has been the cornerstone of respect that people will never lose for you in this country. I think if you hadn’t had Harvey, and being the type of mum that you are to Harvey, I think that catapulted you into an echelon of respect where, no matter what happens with the men, the surgery, the glamor modeling, this and that, the reality shows, the bankruptcies, the trauma, everything that we’re going to get into. I think people go, ‘Yeah, but she’s the kind of mum that not everybody could be to the height of my career’.”
