Showbiz legend Katie Price has admitted she still has a lot of love left in her, and her plans to stop having children are a long way off — as she opened up on the menopause
Katie Price has admitted she would love to have more children after her recent cancer scare. However, she did reveal that this could be quite hard for her as her eggs are “f*****”.
Mum-of-five Katie, 47, has always spoken out in favour of having more babies and children as she wants to grow her family. She recently revealed in a documentary about her IVF journey that she would love to keep having children to look after.
The new documentary, filmed by Channel 4 in 2023, came just weeks before her dramatic split from then-fiancé and former Love Island star Carl Woods. The premise of the doc outlined the couple’s journey through having in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment.
Ultimately, the attempt at having a baby through IVF proved to be unsuccessful, but now model and businesswoman Katie says that there are “still ways” that she could have more children. According to the Mirror the Pricey — who is currently hooked up with Married at First Sight star JJ Slater, 31 — said she would want to have “as many” kids as possible.
Showbiz legend Katie is already a doting mum to five children, which she had with three separate men. Her oldest, Harvey, is 23; followed by Princess and Junior, whom she shares with ex-husband Peter Andre as well as Jett and Bunny, whom she shares with her second ex-hubby Kieran Hayler.
Chatting with audience members on her show with Kerry Katona on Saturday (September 6), former glamour model Katie set the record straight on her view on children. Addressing the crowd in in Lancashire, she spoke on her experience of being pre-menopausal.
“I’m going through it,” she confessed, “I had a blood test — so I still want more kids — but my eggs are f****d now to cut a long story short, it happens to all of us. Just because your eggs are old and they won’t really give you like a baby; I can still carry a baby, so there’s still ways that I can have babies and I will have more.”
She added that she would continue having as many babies as she could, before insisting that she still has the capability to get pregnant. She then exclaimed: “You’ve heard it, I’m gonna have lots of babies.”
During the filming of her documentary, ex- Celebrity Big Brother winner Katie was dealt a huge blow when she was told that she only had “a couple of awake eggs”. As a result, her body had started to show signs of developing menopause — meaning she would not be able to naturally have any more children.
After hearing the news, Katie began to panic that her then-partner Carl would end up leaving her because she had no chance to give him a child, to which Carl blasted Katie for her negative outlook on the situation. However, despite this, just weeks after the pair’s documentary was shown to the public, both Carl and Katie had split and things soon became nasty.
Since then, Katie has been happily loved with her darling beau JJ, after she revealed that the pair had been pals before they started going out. In the wake of this, both Katie and JJ have fallen hard for each other, with Katie praising her partner on the way he looks after her kids.
