Katie Price’s family have voiced their worries about her recent weight loss, with her father commenting on her slender legs during an episode of her podcast. The 47-year-old was joined by her dad, Paul, who was watching football before making a guest appearance on The Katie Price Show alongside Katie and her sister Sophie.
During the podcast, Paul suddenly fell silent, prompting Katie to ask what he was looking at. He remarked on The Katie Price Show: “Look how thin them legs are, terrible aren’t they? A hand can go round them,” which led Katie to quip to her listeners: “They’re obsessed with my weight.”
Sophie concurred with their dad, adding: “You are thin.”
Despite Katie asserting she’s content with her weight, Paul interjected, suggesting: “No, that’s not right, it’s probably that vaping crap.”
Katie then disclosed that her mum, Amy, shared similar concerns about her slim figure, reports the Mirror.
Katie recounted to Sophie: “You know what mum said to me last night? ‘You must be bulimic’. I said, ‘JJ, do I throw my food up? No, I eat’.”
Sophie mentioned that their mother had called her, planning to talk to Katie because “she’s too thin”. She went on: “I think mum saw a picture on Instagram and wasn’t happy.”
Katie defended her physique, stating: “My legs do look thin but I like it! Good!” However, the conversation quickly veered back to football as her dad shifted focus, and the family moved past the discussion of Katie’s weight.
Katie has sparked fresh worries about her well-being this week after posting a new photo on social media. The picture, which shows her enjoying time with family, features Katie alongside two relatives.
In the image, she sports a white top, grey jacket, black leggings and white trainers, hugging her loved ones. The snap was part of a series of “family time” pictures Katie uploaded to Facebook yesterday, captioning it: “My beautiful nieces.”
However, the post drew concern from followers, following Katie’s recent disclosure of her weight due to people’s “obsession” with it.
One user commented: “Katie you look painfully thin.”
Another expressed their shock: “Her legs don’t look real.”
A further comment read: “Wow, not much left of Katie. I don’t know if this is a healthy look.”
Back in January, Katie opened up about her weight loss journey, explaining to her podcast listeners that she’s “always been thin” but put on weight after breaking her feet. She went on to say: “Now I’ve realised when I was eating pasta, oats, or milk or anything, it bloats me. […] So I’ve been avoiding stuff like that and not feeling so sluggish and tired after.”
