The first snaps of Katy Perry have emerged after she landed from the celebrity Blue Origin space flight.
She looked thrilled as she stepped out of the space shuttle holding a daisy to the sky, in ode to her daughter. Katy beamed as she strolled out of the spaceship donned in a blue jumpsuit, before she was seen kissing the ground showing gratitude for her safe journey.
Speaking to camera after the journey, Katy said: “Daisies are common flowers, but they grown through any condition. They are resilient, they are powerful, they are strong. They are everywhere.
“Flowers are to me, God’s smile. But it’s also a reminder of our beautiful Earth and the flowers here and God’s smile and the beautiful magic that is everywhere, all around us, and even in a simple daisy. So to really appreciate it and remember it and take care of it and protect it.”

She added: “This was hard for me to go, because that’s all my love right there. And I have to surrender and trust that the universe is going to take care of me and protect me, and also my family, and my daughter, because, like, I’m full up from being able to get that gift to be being a mom and and to go to space is incredible. And I wanted to model the courage and worthiness and fearlessness.”
The singer was joined by Lauren Sanchez, fiancée of Jeff Bezos, TV presenter Gayle King , civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, former rocket scientist Aisha Bowe and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn on the historic 11-minute flight.
Before her flight, Katy became emotional in an interview when asked if she had a message for her family, which includes her husband and actor Orlando Bloom and their daughter, Daisy, four.
She said: “My message is that I love them and I am so full of love. I am so grateful to be representing fearless females in my family.”

The star has been sharing her thoughts about the mission online, writing: “I am talking to myself every day and going, ‘You’re brave, you’re bold, you are doing this for the next generation to inspire so many different people but especially young girls to go, ‘I’ll go to space in the future.’ No limitations.”
Whilst Katy’s online messaging had been signalling her concerns, she revealed she had been dreaming about the opportunity to go into space for the past 15 years.
Before her flight, the Roar singer also gave a behind-the-scenes glimpse inside the capsule as she showed fans where she would be sitting.
In the clip, she said: “Okay I’m going to show you the capsule that we have been training in for the last few days. Here I am! Seat number 2!
“I think I’m gonna sing in space – I’ve got to sing in space! These seats are for all my astronaut girlie friends. We are the ‘taking up space crew’. That phrase now has a double entendre.
“I’m not going to say I can’t believe I’m here because I can and I think if you believe in your dreams that’s actually how you make them come true!”
