Reality star Kerry Katona was cruising along in a bright green Lamborghini in Cheshire when the eager fan ran into the road for a selfie, but traffic police weren’t pleased
Kerry Katona helped cause some traffic chaos when she stopped her green Lamborghini in the road to take a selfie.
The ex-Atomic Kitten singer and reality star was driving through a Cheshire village in her flashy £200k motor when she was spotted by an excited fan. Determined to get a selfie with Kerry for his partner, the bloke ran into the middle of the road to catch up her.
Footage shows the man sprinting towards her car with his phone at the ready, forcing Kerry to slow down her car as shouts rang out from people nearby. The Celebs Go Dating star is used to getting stopped by fans and was happy to accommodate the man.
But she seemingly knew she could get them both into trouble by holding up traffic. “Quick!” she warned him as he leaned in to take the pic before she put her foot down on the gas pedal, waving at a small crowd that had begun to gather.
But the sweet moment didn’t last long. Police officers weren’t happy with the bloke for going into the road and gave him a scolding, asking him: “What are you playing at?”
The man replied: “I was trying to get a video for my missus.” The officer, not having any of it, fumed: “By walking into the middle of the road and obstructing traffic?”
The man returned to the pavement with a grin on his face despite the warning. The clip went viral on Instagram, with people divided over who was in the wrong.
Some insisted the fan “didn’t disrupt one bit of traffic,” but others cheekily tagged Kerry and joked she was “causing a nuisance.” It seems Kerry wasn’t too fussed as she herself liked the post.
Kerry splashed the cash on the brand-new £200k Lamborghini Urus V8 back in 2022. Just months after her Range Rover was stolen by thieves, she was seen running errands with her luxury car.
Kerry’s Range Rover, was stolen in December 2021, with the I’m A Celeb winner realising her keys were missing during a shopping trip ahead of Christmas. She chased the thieves but didn’t catch them.
“I chased them, good job I didn’t get them – they could’ve had a knife or anything,” she admitted during an Instagram Live at the time. “I feel violated. The kids are really shook up.”
Kerry was declared bankrupt in 2008 and then again in 2013, but the reality TV star has completely turned things around thanks to her time on Only Fans. She said the platform has been “amazing” for her career”.
She told The Sun: “It’s been amazing for my career, I haven’t stopped working. When I first did it I said to the kids ‘I’m going to do this, and I’m going to go topless – if anyone has any problems, let me know’
She continued: “Our Lilly said she wasn’t happy about it, and I said ‘wait until the money comes in and see how you feel about it then.’
“And once the money did start coming in they all had an iPad each and they had no problems! I’ve bought myself a Lamborghini Urus too, which comes in March.”
