Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher, is due in court on Wednesday, August 27 after being charged with a string of offences
Noel and Liam Gallagher’s older brother Paul has been charged with rape and making threats to kill. The 59-year-old, who lives in London’s East Finchley, was charged after an investigation by Scotland Yard which started last year.
The Met Police said Gallagher has also been charged with sexual assault, coercive control and making threats to kill. He is due to appear at Westminster magistrates’ court on Wednesday, August 27.
Paul grew up with his famous brothers, but has never been a part of Oasis or in the spotlight, though has worked as a DJ and photographer.
He lives in a flat in the north London area which was purchased by brother Noel, 58, in 2004, according to The Telegraph.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “A man has been charged with numerous offences – including rape, coercive control and sexual assault.
“Paul Gallagher, 59, of Manor Park Road, East Finchley, has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
“The offences are reported to have taken place between 2022 – 2024. The charges follow an investigation which commenced in 2024. A woman is being supported by specially-trained officers.
“Gallagher will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 27 August.”
The news comes as Oasis continue their sold-out Live ’25 tour. They are currently in the middle of their dates at Wembley Stadium, with three more scheduled for July 30, and August 2 and 3.
The tour, which kicked off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4, continues to Edinburgh and Dublin before moving to the international legs.

There are a further two dates at London’s Wembley Stadium scheduled for the end of September too, before the South Korean date on October 21.
