Oasis have begun live rehearsals at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium ahead of the first show on Friday, with Noel and Liam Gallagher appearing on stage together
Liam Gallagher appeared to have accidentally leaked some gig info info before quickly deleted the post.
Oasis have touched down in Cardiff, ready to kick off their highly anticipated reunion tour, which will see Noel and Liam Gallagher share the stage once again.
The Oasis legend is getting ready to return to the stage with the band’s first live show in two decades. The iconic group are set to play at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Friday.
Liam tweeted: “Oasis on stage 8.15pm Cardiff don’t be late or we’ll start without you and you don’t want that now do ya see ya there LG x,” but it was soon removed from the platform.
This comes as fans eagerly await what is set to be one of the most monumental reunions in music history, those near the stadium were treated to the sound of Cigarettes and Alcohol echoing from within. The countdown has begun for the first show of the global tour, with the band having reunited several months ago to start jamming.
The initial photos of the band exiting rehearsals in London emerged in May, featuring Noel Gallagher, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, Gem Archer and Andy Bell, who will be handling guitar duties for the sold-out shows, with Andy on bass. Liam, initially resting his vocals, joined them on June 3.
The band also welcomes new members, keyboardist Christian Madden and drummer Joey Waronker. While Joey has previously toured with Liam, this will be his first time playing with Oasis.
Noel and Liam are set to publicly share the stage for the first time since the band’s split nearly two decades ago, on July 4 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The tour will also include performances in Manchester, London and Dublin, reports the Mirror.
A source told us about the upcoming shows: “With a new lineup and it being such a huge first show, the boys will do some songs inside the venue too.
“Some tours would start with a smaller show or take a week or two to get into the groove again. But there is no time for that, and also Liam and Noel want every night to be massive. This is such a huge comeback show, and they are taking it very seriously. It all points to it being an incredible comeback tour.”
Fans have been reacting to the sound of the rehearsals, with one commenting: “The calm before the storm.”
Another fan tweeted: “Oh my God, genuinely impossible for anyone to hate on this Noel and Liam weren’t lying when they said they sounded dangerous.
“Oh my Christ,” another fan exclaimed. Meanwhile, another wrote: “OMG this is happening!” Noel, 57, left the Manchester rock group on August 28 2009, stating he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer”, and the brothers had been publicly criticising each other for over a decade.
However, things changed with the announcement of the tour in August last year. The pair posed for several photos together confirming the band’s long-awaited reunion on Tuesday, saying: “The great wait is over.”

There are still some Oasis tickets on the market, so if you’re keen to join in, we’ve compiled a comprehensive list of resale retailers below:
In April, Oasis’ ‘Live Forever’ was named the best British song of all time in a new poll ahead of the band’s highly anticipated reunion tour this summer.
The Manchester band, fronted by Noel and Liam Gallagher, had an impressive 16 tracks in the top 100 results by Radio X. Alongside ‘Live Forever’, ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger,’ ‘Slide Away’ and ‘Champagne Supernova’ also made the top 10.
The Radio X’s 10th annual Best Of British with BandQ poll has generated significant buzz. The upcoming live shows, which will feature special guests Richard Ashcroft and Cast, friends of the band, have already sparked immense interest.
Noel Gallagher broke his silence in a new book, discussing the highly-anticipated Oasis Live 25 tour. Speaking to photographer Kevin Cummins about the overwhelming demand for tickets, Noel expressed, “I thought it’d be a big deal, but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was.”
When asked to name his favourite Oasis song, potentially giving a glimpse into the tour’s set list, Noel responded, “Can I have more than one? Supersonic, Some Might Say, Live Forever and Rock’n’Roll Star.”
