Loose Women star ‘quits ITV show’ as fans gobsmacked over sudden announcement

A Loose Women panellist has reportedly decided to quit the ITV talk show.

Fans of the daytime series were left stunned after hearing that viewer favourite Stacey Solomon is leaving her role.

Sources close to the 35-year-old have said that Stacey is “too busy” with her other television commitments, however Stacey’s representatives denied this when contacted by The Sun and said that Stacey is still a “proud Loose Women” panellist. Daily Star has contacted Stacey’s representatives for comment.

The former X Factor star joined the panel back in 2016 and has racked up over 350 appearances on the ITV show.

Fans have been worried that the presenter would quit the show for good after Stacey was noticeably missing from Loose Women’s 25th anniversary picture.

A TV insider has claimed that the Loose Women team made several attempts to book her in during 2024 but were turned down each time. Instead, they decided to go with 34-year-old former Love Island star Olivia Attwood and 26-year-old podcaster GK Barry.

The source claimed: “The team at Loose Women did everything possible last year to have Stacey on the panel, the viewers love her and there’s always a boost to the ratings when she’s on.”

“It’s clear Stacey has quit Loose Women. She hasn’t been on the panel all year, there are no plans for her to appear, she most certainly hasn’t been booked.”

“Stacey still has a lot of close friends on the show like panellists Kaye Adams and Linda Robson so the hope is she will reunite with the panel as a guest.”

The source claimed that “for now” Loose Women bosses have decided to “move forward” with Olivia and GK as they “also appeal to a younger demographic.”
