Donald Trump said he plans to hit movies made outside of the US with 100% tariffs in a bid to ‘make Hollywood great again’ but there is a fear that it could only make it worse
Hollywood actress Margot Robbie has been urged to join OnlyFans to avoid any harm done by Donald Trump’s proposed tariffs. Adult star Lucy Banks has made around £500,000 since leaving her job as a bank manager for the racy platform. The Aussie hasn’t looked back and now runs her own PR firm managing other content creators.
She’s now urging Hollywood stars including Robbie and Jennifer Lawrence to switch to creating content on OnlyFans in response to Trump’s tariffs. The US President said in May he will hit movies made in foreign countries with 100% tariffs in a bid to “make Hollywood great again”.
But there are fears this will make things even worse for people working both in and outside of Hollywood. And Banks believes the solution lies in OnlyFans.
Banks said: “Margot Robbie would do so well on OnlyFans, especially as I want to see the mums on OnlyFans. ‘I’m hot, I’m a babe, pay to see me’.
“I want to see more celebrities on OnlyFans because it helps normalise it. It helps remove that stigma.”
She added: “I would love to see more Hollywood actresses come over to it. I just think that would go so far. There are things happening at the moment with the film industry and the tariffs, things like that.
“If there are a few mainstream actors and actresses who were like, ‘you know what, we’re worried about the tariffs, we’re worried about getting paid, we’re gonna go to OnlyFans’. I think that that would be huge. I would love to see something like that.
“Either doing adult content or not, I would never suggest anyone doing adult content if they weren’t comfortable. I think you can go on OnlyFans.
“Obviously, you could be on there and not doing adult content. So even if you’re just sharing a day in the life of Robbie, for example, sharing more personal thoughts and things like that.
“OnlyFans is the space for that. And then if they feel like doing adult content, then that’s also the platform for them to do it on as well.”
Banks also said she’d love to see pop star Britney Spears on the platform. Or she’d want to see a member of the Kardashian family there too, particularly Kim so she can monetise a leaked sex tape.
The founder of Million Billion Media added: “I would love to see Britney Spears on there because she’s so chaotic and she gets so much judgement, people are so mean to her, and I hate that they’re so mean to her.
“But I want her to start on OnlyFans. I think that would be so empowering. She just goes on there, she’s chaotic and gets paid for it without even doing nudity. Would love that for her. She deserves to get paid.
“In terms of adult content, I think it would be really cool to see a Kardashian there. That’s how they got started, Kim’s tape. It’s already out there. Imagine if she sat on OnlyFans and she just released that she doesn’t even have to do anything extra. That would be wild, and it would earn so much money. And then she’s earning money from it, not the porn companies who leak the tape. She gets to earn it for what she’s been through.”
She added: “Here in Australia, there are a lot of reality TV show stars on Married at First Sight or whatever, and then they start an OnlyFans. It’s only been maybe three or four years that they’ve started doing that, and I love it. I think it’s great.
“They’re using their platform to make money, which I’m all for but the more high profile people that join the platform, the more mainstream it becomes. There’s an argument there as to whether that’s a good thing or not.
“I would just love to see the stigma and the judgment towards OnlyFans creators end. And I think the more conversations that people are having about it, the closer we get to having that stigma completely eroded.
“I’d love to see Tammy Hembrow. She’s an Australian influencer. She’s got a gazillion followers. She doesn’t need fans, she’s so smart. But she would make so much money on it. And I would love to see more, so Bella Thorne was or she still is on OnlyFans.”
Trump vowed to impose the tariffs in May but it remains to be seen if he will follow through on his threats.
Hollywood is currently experiencing its lowest rate of local production in decades. But fears have been raised over its proposed implementation, including how exactly a foreign film would be defined given Hollywood films often shoot overseas and with foreign actors.
