Michelle Keegan has shared two sweet tributes to her newborn daughter Palma in her wardrobe, after Mark Wright opened up about their decision over their baby’s name
Michelle Keegan has shown off a new piece of jewellery in honour of her newborn daughter, Palma, including a ‘personalised’ piece this week.
This follows her husband, Mark Wright, opening up about the choice behind their little one’s name. At 37, Michelle and her other half Mark, 38, have been sharing social media updates on their new life as parents since they announced the news of Palma’s arrival in a joint post last month. The pair, who’ve been the recipients well-wishes for their newborn, also shared snaps from their first holiday as a family of three.
In her latest Instagram post, Michelle popped up a selfie where she rocked two necklaces that gave a nod to baby Palma. One was a glitzy number spelling out her daughter’s name, while the other featured three ‘P’ pendants, each one standing for a special lady in her life.
The Brassic actress wrote in her caption, revealing that the ‘P’s were for her little girl Palma, and her two dogs, Pip the chihuahua and Phoebe the dachshund. She penned: “For my 3 girls,” followed by a string of heart emojis and the names “Palma, Phoebe and Pip.”
She gave a shoutout to Chain Reaction Jewellers for the ‘Palma’ necklace, which the jeweller had boasted about as a “personalised diamond necklace” crafted just for her. Underneath the other necklace in the snap, she tagged Dana Seng Jewelry.
Previously, Michelle had given us a peek at the ‘Palma’ necklace when she posted about her Mother’s Day celebrations last month, as she spent the day with the in-laws.
The new post follows Mark’s appearance on This Morning, where he spoke about Palma. Host Siân Welby mentioned the potential significance behind the name, to which Mark responded by addressing speculation that Palma was named after the Majorcan resort, saying: “Well, that’s what the papers say.”
During the ITV show, he explained: “We just love the name.” Mark elaborated: “We love the name Palmer with an ‘er’ and then we just liked putting an ‘a’ on the end and we just liked the way it read.”
He concluded by telling the host: “So, yeah, we just love the name, really.”
Discussing parenthood, Mark said: “It’s incredible. We’re just enjoying being parents.”
He added: “They say it’s the best feeling in the world. They’re not wrong. It is.”
The news follows Mark and Michelle’s announcement of Palma’s birth on Instagram last month, where they shared a photo of their newborn alongside the caption: “Together we have a new love to share… Our little girl. Palma Elizabeth Wright. 06.03.25.”
In recent posts, Michelle celebrated Mother’s Day, writing: “Such a special day from start to finish. Happy Mother’s Day.”
After a family trip, she also shared on Instagram: “A little break away filled with special memories.”
