In an expletive-ridden confrontation while dressed as a pirate, Mickey Rourke ‘agressively’ told fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestant Chris Hughes: ‘don’t eyeball me’
Mickey Rourke has issued a grovelling apology after getting the boot from Celebrity Big Brother (CBB) for “threatening and aggressive” language. The dramatic scenes are set to unfold on telly tonight, as viewers will witness Mickey’s unceremonious departure from the infamous house.
Footage of the confrontation with Chris Hughes was published by ITV after they let fans know of Rourke’s abrupt dismissal last night. A spokesperson said yesterday evening: “Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.”
It also appears the Hollywood tough guy’s wallet is going to feel the sting too, with reports that ITV will slash Mickey’s payment. What exactly tipped Mickey over the edge is set to be laid bare for all when CBB fans park themselves in front of their tellies at the shifted viewing time of 10pm tonight, reports the Mirror.
Mickey was called to the Diary Room, where Big Brother told him: “Mickey, Big Brother needs to speak to you about your behaviour. Earlier today in a disagreement with Chris, your language and behaviour was threatening and aggressive. Big Brother does not tolerate threatening language or behaviour. In addition, you have used inappropriate sexual language to Ella.
“Oh, I’m not aware of that but okay,” he says in response. Big Brother then tells him: “This language has caused offence to your fellow housemates and could cause offence to the viewing public. This is not the first time Big Brother has had to speak to you about your offensive and inappropriate language.”
Mickey then replied: “Yes sir. I did wrong. I apologise. I’m sorry. I can’t take it back, you know, I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. ‘Cause I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I’m very sorry.
“I’m ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there. Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset but, you know, I’m sorry about that.”
Big Brother then told him: “Big Brother considers your language and behaviour today to be seriously unacceptable and as a result Big Brother has no option but to ask you to leave the Big Brother house. Mickey, is there anything else you’d like to say?
“I blame myself, I know it was my bad. You know, I’ve got a short fuse and I know I upset a lot of people out there, you know. And I’m sorry for that.
“I’m actually ashamed of myself for getting that hot. I went over the line, you know, I did wrong. I guess, like they say, I’m a work in progress. I just wanna pack my bags and leave, you know. I wanted to leave yesterday actually but I wasn’t chosen,” he says.
The moment will air tonight which led to Mickey being axed from the house. During a task, Chris steps out of line and looks at Mickey. Mickey then follows and steps out of line himself before confronting Chris.
Mickey then says to Chris: “You looking at me?” as JoJo replies: “Ahoy. You’re not the captain of this ship. Ahoy. Back up soldier.” “Don’t eyeball me,” Mickey tells Chris, before he responds: “Mickey it was a joke, f***ing…”
Mickey then says: “Don’t f***ing eyeball me. You ****,” as Danny and JoJo try and diffuse the situation between the pair. Danny says: “He was joking. He was joking. He was joking,” as Chris says: “F***ing stand there.”
Big Brother then says: “This is Big Brother. Mickey, come to the diary room immediately,” as Mickey says: “No, your a** will be right there in a second.” Big Brother then says: “Mickey, come to the diary room immediately.”
