Former Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has hit back at claims that her sister Zoe is ‘more of the dad’ to her two-year-old daughter Bambi than her boxing champion ex-fiance, Tommy Fury
Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are navigating their way through life after getting back together. The 26-year-old television personality and her beau Tommy reignited their love earlier this year, following a much-talked-about split in 2024. However, Molly-Mae has clapped back at suggestions that her sister Zoe, who caused controversy with her views on Bali, plays “more of the dad” role to their two-year-old daughter Bambi than the professional boxer does.
In her most recent YouTube upload, the influencer addressed the chatter: “I’ve seen so many comments saying Zoe is more the dad … I only vlog when I am not with Tommy, I am with Tommy literally 80% of the week and he is with Bambi majority of the week.”
She continued, explaining her approach to filming their family life: “But I vlog when we are here and he is at his because it’s just something that I am not ready to like open up with yet and like flinging the camera around like when we’re a family.”
Molly-Mae is keen to wait until things at home are completely stable before she dives back into her old vlogging routine. The ex-Love Island contestant shared: “I just think like we’re not there yet and still figuring out life and living situations. I’m not ready to vlog like we used to,” reports the Manchester Evening News.
Last August, Molly-Mae took to Instagram to announce the end of her relationship with Tommy, expressing her disbelief: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this.”
She added, heartbroken: “After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.
“I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.
“I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all. Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I’ll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x (sic).”
However, in recent times, the once engaged pair have candidly spoken about their efforts to mend their relationship.
In the sixth instalment of her Prime Video documentary series, Behind It All, Molly-Mae confided an update on their partnership which she believes is “worth saving”, following Tommy’s admission that his drinking was a key factor in their unexpected separation last summer.
Both aged 26, Molly-Mae and Tommy have been spotted enjoying family holidays in Dubai with their daughter, Bambi. Molly-Mae has also mentioned plans to spend more time at Tommy’s residence, a home they had initially intended to move into together.
