Molly-Mae Hague ‘doesn’t understand’ why she’s fallen out of favour with the public

Molly-Mae Hague has seen her popularity dwindle in recent months, and a PR expert has now claimed that her days at the top of the showbiz pile ‘could be over’

It’s been rough for Molly Mae

Molly-Mae Hague was left in floods of tears last week following yet another barrage of criticism from fans branding her ‘out of touch’. Now, a PR expert has told OK! that they reckon the golden girl’s appeal is diminishing and her celebrity status could be ‘completely finished’.

The 26 year old, amongst Love Island’s most triumphant alumni with an estimated fortune of £6m, had declared in one of her vlogs that she’d experienced ‘nothing enjoyable this summer’, despite embarking on numerous extravagant getaways documented across social media.

Her latest adventure saw her jet off on a family excursion in her £86K motorhome, following which she revealed feeling ‘overwhelmed’ and suffering a ‘meltdown’ when her two year old daughter Bambi, whom she shares with partner Tommy Fury, became exhausted and screamed for hours on end.

Whilst some showed understanding towards the difficulties of travelling with a toddler, others were swift to condemn Molly-Mae for her complaints, highlighting her wealthy circumstances and regular luxury breaks, branding the influencer and businesswoman ‘tone deaf’.

Our insider reveals that such comments genuinely distress the mum-of-one, with the backlash capable of deeply affecting her mood. “She does get upset that she’s constantly in the firing line from the public, but she also doesn’t understand why because she doesn’t feel like she’s done anything wrong. She works hard and is proud of what she’s achieved.”, reports the Mirror.

The mother-of-one made waves recently after moaning in a YouTube clip that she hadn’t experienced any enjoyable activities during the summer period.

“I said to a friend the other day, that I’m going to make it to the end of summer having not done one fun thing,” she told viewers. “I haven’t a life. That’s not good is it. Summer will end and I’ve not done one fun social thing.”

However, supporters were swift to highlight numerous excursions Molly had undertaken this year, including jaunts to Dubai, a getaway to Disneyland, a weekend break in Budapest, their recent campervan adventure to the Isle Of Man, and appearances at prestigious occasions such as Wimbledon, prior to which she splashed out thousands at Christian Dior for her tennis tournament ensemble.

Responding to the criticism she’s faced in a latest video, Molly insisted she ‘doesn’t care’ about the negative reaction, though admitted it makes her ‘nervous’ to speak candidly with followers. “I don’t care who tells me I am out of touch with reality or all this stuff that’s going on on TikTok at the minute, I don’t care I’m not going to not talk about it.

“I feel like I don’t want to talk about anything controversial anymore because in the last video I said some things I probably could have worded better and even with all the motherhood things I’m talking about at the minute, it’s just a lot.”

Molly, who is known for her candidness, has confessed to finding it challenging with Bambi lately. In a YouTube video, she shared: “I’m having one of those toddler mum days, where I question, ‘am I actually cut out for this?'”.

“Every single thing I try and ask her to do, she will not listen to me… She hasn’t eaten in like three days because she is refusing to eat. I’m finding it really hard.”

She also acknowledged that Tommy seems to handle parenting more easily, admitting that it’s ‘tough’.

In light of the recent criticism, PR specialist Lynn Carratt suggests Molly Mae could be in danger of losing her ‘golden girl’ image. She told new: “Some of the things that she’s saying are coming across as out of touch with reality.

“Molly was the sweet, girl next door on love island, and she had a true love story with Tommy which people really bought into and was very likeable. Men fancied her, girls wanted to be her. She came across as an inspiration. Now, she’s flying all over the world on private jets and sadly, it’s just not relatable anymore.”
