Molly-Mae Hague was seen crying as she admitted she’s ‘trying so hard to stay positive’ amid backlash over her parenting methods and comments about her summer
Molly-Mae Hague was spotted in tears as she addressed being labelled “out of touch” following recent remarks about her summer plans. The influencer, who recently got back with Tommy Fury, faced backlash on social media after stating she’d “not done one fun thing all summer” and received criticism for sharing a frank account of her and Tommy’s first motorhome holiday, which some perceived as “complaining”.
In a previous YouTube vlog, she said: “I told a friend the other day, that I’m going to make it to the end of summer having not done one fun thing.”
In her latest video diary, titled “a few realistic days with me”, Molly-Mae was seen tearful as she discussed her genuine struggles with daughter, Bambi, whom she shares with Tommy.
She also referred to the comments made about her on TikTok during a moment alone in the car, while her sister, Zoe, took Bambi to start their day at the farm.
With Bambi in her car seat, Molly-Mae confessed: “I’m trying so so hard to stay positive but, I feel like I need to keep my camera running all day so you can see like every single thing, [Bambi] is a huge problem, [She] screams [I] can’t even get like socks and shoes on,” reports the Manchester Evening News.
She continued: “I don’t care who tells me I am out of touch with reality or all this stuff thats going on on TikTok at the minute, I don’t care, i’m not going to not talk about it.”
Overcome with emotion, she put on her sunglasses and prepared to exit her car, apologising: “Sorry, I’m so embarrassed!”
The 26-year-old later explained: “I feel like I don’t want to talk about anything controversial anymore because in the last video I said some things I probably could have worded better and even with all the motherhood things I am talking about at the minute, it’s just a lot.”
She continued: “Debunking that whole thing about me feeling like I shouldn’t talk about what is going on in the day because I am scared about what people will think and what they have to say about it.”
However, fans were quick to offer their support. One fan commented: “Oh Molly your tears broke me, you’re doing a great job! Please don’t listen to people who aren’t in your shoes, it comes from a place a privilege. Parent your child however you want to.”
Another fan shared: “Everyone talking on TikTok but I know there are mums watching this feeling the exact same and finding comfort in not being alone! It’s refreshing to show the good and the struggle.”
A third fan wrote: “Thank you for being real about parenting and sharing the struggles we all face being a mummy. So refreshing to see.”
A fourth fan offered words of encouragement: “Being a mum is the hardest job in the world. Molly you are doing such a good job. This age is very hard.”
Another fan added: “Please never stop showing the raw parts of parenthood. Your YT family will always be here.”
