Mummy Pig has given birth and revealed the new baby’s name, their gender and an update on her own health.
The matriarch of the Peppa Pig series announced her pregnancy back in March and has now welcomed her third child into the world, making Peppa and George older siblings to a new female family member.
Mummy Pig’s representatives revealed: “Pig news in the world of Peppa Pig! The moment fans have been waiting for is finally here, Mummy Pig has given birth to a beautiful baby girl!”
“Baby Evie was safely welcomed into the world today at 5:34AM and both Mummy Pig and baby are doing well.”

Evie is named in honour of Mummy Pig’s aunt. The piglet was introduced to the world with a “traditional royal birth announcement” complete with a town crier, a scroll proclamation and the unveiling of Evie’s birth notice.
Mummy Pig’s reps continued: “Big siblings Peppa and George are said to be over the moon and excited to meet their new baby sister, while Mummy and Daddy Pig are ‘looking forward to lots of happy snorts and sleepless nights’.”

Evie will be on our screens in the new Peppa Pig episode Peppa Meets The Baby, which can be watched exclusively at a cinema experience which is screening to over 2600 cinemas across 20 countries from 30 May.
Tickets for the hour-long event can be found here.
Eager fans can also meet Mummy Pig and Evie at Battersea Power Station from 31 May to 1 June, while celebrations will continue at Paulton’s Park, home of Peppa Pig World, from 1 June.

Peppa Pig creators have promised new adventures for the family, including new faces and family firsts as Evie acclimatises into life with the Pigs.
