Former Hollyoaks and Coronation Street star Nikki Sanderson has been enjoying a week of catch ups with her loved ones and shared a series of snaps on social media
Former Hollyoaks actress Nikki Sanderson has shared a series of photos on social media with her lookalike mum.
The 41-year-old star, who earlier this year left her role as Maxine Minniver in the Channel 4 soap, has been spending quality time with her loved ones.
She’s been posting daily updates about her “week of catch ups”, from celebrating a friend’s 40th birthday in Wales to attending Mamma Mia The Party for a hen do.
On Wednesday (August 6), Nikki posted a collection of photos with her mum Jude, marking “day three of her week of catch ups”.
Her post read: “Wednesday Day 3… Quality time with my best friend.”, reports the Manchester Evening News.
“My beautiful mummy @judesanderson and I went on a lovely trip away. A few days of mummy daughter time that we both loved.
“I’m blessed that my mum isn’t just my mum but my best friend too.
“I’m grateful for every day I get to spend with my mum, especially with everything she’s been through, so trips like this are invaluable. Love you Mama.”
The former Coronation Street star received a flood of supportive messages from her followers in the comments section.
Nikki’s mum Jude responded: “I was truly blessed to have the most loving, caring and beautiful daughter.
“My best friend forever. Spending time with you is a joy and being able to laugh and have fun together is so special.
“I owe you so much poppet. You and your bro mean with world to me. You two are the reason I breathe and. Get to spend these wonderful times with you.
“Can’t wait to do it again. I love you to infinity and beyond.”
Followers were quick to notice the remarkable similarity between Nikki and Jude, with one commenting: “You’re so beautiful like your mum.”
Someone else gushed: “You look gorgeous. You look like twins.”
A third admirer observed: “Is that your mum? My goodness you can see where you got your beauty from.”
Back in June, Nikki bravely recounted the horrifying incident on BBC’s Morning Live when Jude collapsed at their family home following two cardiac arrests.
Looking back on that terrifying day, she revealed: “I remember screaming to the operator, just begging ‘please help us’. We knew she’d gone but we desperately wanted her to come back.”
Swift intervention from emergency services, combined with life-saving CPR administered by Nikki’s brother, ultimately rescued Jude from the brink of death.
Hollyoaks airs Monday to Wednesday on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 from 7am
