Oasis siblings Liam and Noel Gallagher have famously been fighting for 16 years since the group broke up, but the brothers have a clever way of avoiding more conflict
Oasis’ Noel and Liam Gallagher have a smart method to avoid another sibling feud while on tour.
The brothers have allegedly opted to stay in separate hotels while on their reunion tour to minimise the risk of reigniting old feuds.
The duo made a triumphant return to the stage after 16 years at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on 4 July, delighting fans with a second performance at the venue on Saturday 5 July.
These shows marked the beginning of an extensive Oasis reunion tour, set to conclude on November 23 at Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil.
With five months of touring ahead, it appears they’re not taking any risks with their notoriously volatile relationship: “The lead up has all been carefully orchestrated, as everyone knows how delicate and fragile Liam and Noel’s relationship is. They don’t want to over-expose themselves to each other. Having separate residences is the best option so they can relax in their own space,” an insider claimed.
“They stayed in separate locations outside [of Cardiff] around half an hour away from each other. They’re happy families at the moment and they want to keep it that way,” they told The Sun.
While their exact accommodations in Cardiff remain unconfirmed, it was claimed that Noel checked into the Park Gate Hotel in the city centre, reports the Express.
Speculation arose that Liam chose the five-star Celtic Manor resort as his lodging when a grey Land Rover escorted by four police officers on motorbikes was seen leaving the premises on 5 July.
Both hotels are members of the Celtic Collection franchise, which has a number of properties across Wales. The tour’s opening night was a visibly emotional occasion for Noel, who had to briefly pause to gather himself as he and Liam took to the stage.
Over 70,000 emotional fans were present at the historic event as they performed at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. During their rendition of Half The World Away, Noel momentarily stopped singing and appeared moved as he took in the scenes before him.
The band initiated their eagerly anticipated set with Hello, after which Liam greeted the crowd: “Hey beautiful people, it’s been too long.”
