Oasis have been enjoying rave review on their 2025 live tour – but things turned jokingly sour on Sunday night when Noel Gallagher and his brother took to the stage in Dublin
Noel Gallagher was met with a chorus of fierce boos during Oasis’s closing performance in Ireland on their ongoing 2025 tour.
The 58-year-old musician faced an unexpected hostile reception from punters during the second evening at Dublin’s Croke Park when he seemingly riled up the audience. Before launching into Half The World Away on Sundai, he enquired: “Anyone from Manchester?”.
But he clearly wasn’t prepared for what followed, as the crowd erupted in disapproval.
Taken aback by the reaction, he responded: “Excuse me, excuse me? Booing for the people in Manchester? Oh no, no, no, no, that won’t do! Be nice!”, reports the Mirror.
Introducing Half The World Away, he declared: “This is for the Royle Family – the real Royal Family,” taking a dig at the House of Windsor.
Prior to Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, he stated he wasn’t “anti-royal” but observed that the “appeal” of the monarchy had been “dwindling”.
“There are other things for people to be interested in,” he remarked, before describing the monarchy as “a bit farcical.”
