An Oasis fan died just hours before he was set to see the reunited band perform in Edinburgh, it has been confirmed. Alessandro Croce, a 30-year-old dentist from Teramo, Italy, had jetted in to watch Liam and Noel Gallagher at their second show at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh last week, as part of their massive Oasis Live ’25 tour across the UK and Europe.
Sadly, he never got to see the sell-out show as he fell ill in his hotel hours before and died. Emergency services and his friends tried to save him, but their efforts tragically failed. It follows the sad death of another Oasis fan, who fell from a high balcony at a Wembley date.
Alessandro has been remembered by loved ones as a keen basketball player.
Mayor of his hometown, Gianguido D’Alberto, pair tribute, saying: “The city of Teramo is united in grief over the loss of Alessandro Croce. I offer the Croce family the condolences and closeness of the municipal administration and the whole community in this difficult time.”

Teramo province’s president Camillo D’Angelo also paid tribute, saying: “The president, the federal council and all the administration hold close with immense affection the headmistress of the Zoli institute in Atri, Paola Angeloni, and her family for the tragic loss of their beloved son, Alessandro.”
The dentist’s basketball team paid tribute too, with BasketBall Teramo president Antonina Fidecaro saying: “Alessandro was not only a pillar of our team, but an integral part of our history and the heart of our association. Alessandro played with our team for six seasons, he was our first captain in the 2012 and 2013.
“He dedicated his life to his passion for basketball, becoming an example of dedication, loyalty and sportsmanship for all of us, from the youngest to the veterans. His absence will leave an unfillable void in all of us, not only on the court but above all in our hearts.
“In this moment of great sadness, all the board, the technical staff, the athletes and the fans of Basketball Teramo wish to express their deepest condolences to Alessandro’s family. His memory and his smile will remain forever alive in every game, in every training session and in every basket.”
It’s believed Alessandro’s family will be flying to Scotland to bring his body back home to Italy this week.
This is the second death linked to Oasis’ reunion tour, after Lee Claydon fell from a Level 5 balcony and died.
He was found to have sustained “injuries consistent with a fall”.
Lee had gone to see the show with his brother Aaron, as well as his niece and nephew.
