Oasis fans fume at ‘rude’ couple who ‘ruined’ gig with inconsiderate act mid-set

Oasis fans have been left fuming at a ‘rude’ couple who ‘ruined’ the band’s reunion gig in Toronto, Canada, by doing something mid-set that left others seething

After a string of 14 sold-out shows across the UK and Ireland, Oasis have officially taken their Live ’25 reunion tour to North America. The Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, kicked off the second leg of the tour – their first since their dramatic split in 2009 – in Toronto, Canada, earlier this week, with a five-show US tour set to begin on Thursday (28 August).

Hundreds of thousands of fans scrambled for tickets, eager to see the Wonderwall hitmakers after a 16-year wait for a reunion. However, for some disgruntled Oasis fans, their experience at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium was “ruined” by a couple of inconsiderate concert-goers.

A woman named Cameron shared her frustration on TikTok, claiming that her night at the Monday (26 August) show in Toronto was completely spoiled by a couple’s disrespectful act mid-concert. Cameron had secured a spot in the tiered seating area of the stadium with a fantastic view of the stage.

However, her view was obstructed when the man in front of her hoisted his partner onto his shoulders, doubling their height and blocking the view for those behind them. Sharing a clip of their discourteous behaviour during Oasis’ performance of Don’t Look Back in Anger, Cameron wrote: “If this was you at the Oasis concert in Toronto last night, I just want you to know you ruined my night.”

Social media users rallied behind Cameron in the comments section, with many arguing that whilst perching on someone’s shoulders might be tolerable – albeit annoying – in the standing pit area, it’s completely unacceptable in the seated sections.

One user remarked: “In the stands? In general admission everyone should be prepared for this to happen, but in the stands is crazy business.”

Another chimed in: “Who the f**k goes on someone’s shoulders in seating??”.

A third also commented: “Doing that in the stands is crazy.”

Others insisted they wouldn’t have thought twice about fetching security to sort out the situation, refusing to let inconsiderate gig-goers spoil their expensive night out.

Someone declared: “Nah. Would have walked off to grab a member of the team to tell them to cut that out. Absolutely no way would I have put up with that.”

Another supporter agreed, posting: “If staff didn’t notice and say anything within the first minute, then they aren’t doing their jobs. It’s not just rude to others, it’s a safety issue.”

A handful of commenters defended the pair, suggesting they were simply trying to enjoy themselves like everyone else at the venue.

However, the overwhelming consensus was that proper “concert etiquette” demands that your own fun shouldn’t wreck another person’s experience.
