An Oasis fan has fallen to his death during the band’s Wembley Stadium gig this weekend. It’s believed the man, in his 40s, was sitting in the upper tier, around 170ft above the ground, at the London venue. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday (August 2) after police and paramedics rushed to help.
Another fan watched as the horror unfolded, with emergency services trying to revive the man after he hit the ground.
They said: “I was directly underneath in section 211. At first glance I thought it was a coat falling from the above tier but then I looked and saw the bloke on the concrete. It was horrific to see.”

Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers attended Wembley after reports of a man being injured at 10.19pm on Saturday.
They said in a statement: “At around 22:19pm on Saturday, 2 August, officers on duty at Wembley Stadium for the Oasis concert responded alongside venue medics and the London Ambulance Service to reports that a person had been injured.
“A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage.
“If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101, quoting 7985/02AUG.”
It’s expected that the police will inform the Health and Safety Executive which could see a probe into the death launched.

A spokesperson from Wembley Stadium added: “Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert-goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall.
“Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died.
“Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. The police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
“Tonight’s Oasis concert will go ahead as planned.”
How to get Oasis tickets
Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.
