Sharon Osbourne is wrestling with a heart-wrenching predicament following the passing of her husband, Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne, who succumbed to Parkinson’s disease on July 22.

In accordance with Ozzy’s final wish, he was interred beneath a crabapple tree in the garden of their bucolic Buckinghamshire estate.

In his 2009 autobiography I Am Ozzy, the singer, who performed his last gig at Villa Park, humorously quipped, “So the kids can make wine out of me and get p***** out of their heads.”

He reiterated this request to Sharon multiple times, reportedly saying, “Don’t cremate me, whatever you do. I want to be put in the ground… with a tree planted over my head.”

While his burial honoured this wish, it has left Sharon, aged 72, in a state of emotional turmoil, reports the Mirror US.

With their three children, Aimee, Jack and Kelly, and five grandchildren all back in Los Angeles, Sharon finds herself grieving alone in the UK.

A close family friend told the Daily Mail: “Sharon is heartbroken. She thought she would be caring for Ozzy longer in the UK. It’s where she saw her future. Now she’s a widow, lonely and grieving.”

Their home, Welders House, had undergone extensive renovations to cater to Ozzy’s deteriorating health.

Improvements included a rehabilitation wing, an exercise and art studio, enhanced security, and a spa-like wellness area.

The family had planned to return to England in 2024 for a reality series titled Home to Roost, which would chronicle their transition.

The iconic rock legend passed away peacefully at his residence, shortly after a poignant reunion with his Black Sabbath colleagues Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward for a final show in Birmingham.

His funeral service on July 30 featured a public cortege through the city streets followed by a private interment with close family and musician friends in attendance.

Medical documentation lists his causes of death as cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, and complications from Parkinson’s disease.

Although Ozzy had been fighting illness following his 2019 Parkinson’s diagnosis, his passing still came as a shock.

“She’s devastated,” revealed one close friend. “But she needs to be with the family who love her.”

Compounding worries, pals say Sharon looks increasingly fragile. She had previously confessed to shedding more than three stone through using the slimming medication Ozempic.

“She’s as thin as Kylie Minogue now,” confided an insider. “She really needs to eat. Grief has made that even harder.”
