Ozzy Osbourne’s memorial over final resting place couldn’t be more perfect

Ozzy Osbourne sadly died on 22 July and the Black Sabbath vocalist has been laid to rest on the grounds of his family home, and the Osbournes have placed a fitting family tribute

Ozzy Osbourne’s funeral flowers are the perfect tribute to the Prince of Darkness.

The Black Sabbath rocker, who sadly died on 22 July 2025, was laid to rest at Welders House, Buckinghamshire next to a “beautiful” lake on the grounds of his family home.

His daughter Kelly Osbourne has released pictures of Ozzy’s memorial wreath – giant letters that read “OZZY F****** OSBOURNE” written with black and purple flowers, Ozzy’s signature colour palette.

The letters have been placed along the edge of a large body of water, with rolling hills and tall green trees surrounding his final resting place.

Ozzy spoke to The Times about his funeral plans back in 2011 and explained: “I want to make sure it’s a celebration, not a mope-fest. I’d also like some pranks – maybe the sound of knocking inside the coffin, or a video of me asking my doctor for a second opinion on his diagnosis of ‘death’.”

“There’ll be no harping on the bad times. It’s worth remembering that a lot of people see nothing but misery their whole lives.”

“So by any measure, most of us in this country, especially rock stars like me, are very lucky. That’s why I don’t want my funeral to be sad – I want it to be a time to say, ‘Thanks’.””

In his 2010 autobiography Ozzy said that he told Sharon: “Don’t cremate me, whatever you do.” He told his wife he “wanted to be put in the ground in a nice garden somewhere with a tree planted over his head”.

“A crabapple tree, preferably, so the kids can make wine out of me and get p***** out of their heads. As for what they’ll put on my headstone, I ain’t under any illusions.”

“If I close my eyes, I can already see it. Ozzy Osbourne, born 1948. Died, whenever. He bit the head off a bat.”
