Following Sean “P. Diddy” Combs’ guilty verdict on two out of five charges, his sentencing has now been confirmed after his legal team and prosecutors reached a new agreement.

Judge Arun Subramanian denied Combs bail due to his disregard for the law, but did say that the time he’s spent in jail so far would be taken into account during sentencing.

Combs was up against five charges across three federal indictments, including sex trafficking, conspiracy racketeering, and transporting someone for prostitution. He plead not guilty to all charges and denies any wrongdoing, including allegations made in civil lawsuits.

However, he was found guilty of the prostitution charges, racketeering and of sex trafficking former girlfriend Cassie Ventura and another woman referred to as ‘Jane.’ Combs could face up to 20 years behind bars if he receives maximum sentences served consecutively, not concurrently.

Instead of waiting until October for sentencing, as initially suggested by the judge, Combs’ defense team asked to bring the hearing forward.

In a letter to the judge, Marc Agnifilo wrote: “The defense proposes that the Probation Office provide the parties with a Pre-Sentence Investigation Report on or before September 5, 2025; that the defense sentencing memorandum and objections to the PSR be filed on or before September 8, 2025.”

However, in the end, both the prosecution and defence agreed to hold off and stick to the original timeline of October 5 2025.

Both parties asked for the pre sentence report by August 29 from the Probation Office. Combs’ attorneys are set to file objections by September 5 and the prosecution by September 12.

Meanwhile, there are still post-verdict motions that can be filed, and the defence stressed their need for time to respond to any requests from the prosecution.

Throughout the ongoing trial, Combs had pleaded not guilty to all allegations made against him. “I’ll be home soon,” he told his family, adding: “I love you, baby.”

He went on to say: “I love you, mom.” Combs has been behind bars since his arrest in September. His lawyers argued that the acquittal on the most serious counts changed the legal landscape enough that he should get bail, however the Judge refused due to violence spoken about by the prosecution.

Despite the verdict, Diddy remained embroiled in legal troubles due to a raft of civil lawsuits. The first lawsuit was lodged by his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in November 2023.

It was settled out of court within 24 hours with no admission of guilt. However, a barrage of new suits rolled in, even after Diddy was put behind bars.
