Pamela Anderson has opened up about her close bond with Liam Neeson as the pair continue to be at the centre of romance rumours amid the release of their new film together
Actress Pamela Anderson has finally broken her silence on her rumoured romance with Liam Neeson.
The pair have been at the centre of romantic whispers in recent weeks whilst embarking on a promotional tour for their latest film, The Naked Gun, which serves as a remake of the original trilogy. Liam takes on the role of Lt. Frank Drebin Jr, the offspring of Leslie Nielsen’s iconic character Frank Drebin, whilst Pamela portrays a character named Beth.
Supporters of both Pamela and Liam have made their feelings crystal clear that they’re hoping the romance rumours prove accurate, with the duo adding fuel to the fire when they were spotted getting rather cosy lately.
Now the Baywatch icon has revealed to OK! magazine that she feels at ease in his presence, stating: “He’s such a gentleman, such a sweetheart, so giving and generous, and so complimentary and supportive that, you know, you can’t help but fall in love with him.”
Pamela also disclosed they share “chemistry” away from the cameras, describing Liam as “a bit silly”. She continued: “has that little boy sense of humor and he’s funny,” before revealing: “On set, I don’t think we broke too much, but in rehearsals, we’d be playing around and having a bit of a laugh.”
Insiders have reportedly told various publications that both stars have been courting “for a while”, though the couple haven’t officially acknowledged they’re romantically involved. A source informed the Daily Mail: “Pam is very drawn to Liam because he is totally open to her way of thinking and living, and especially her approach to fame, which is impressive.”
Another source went on to reveal they’ve “managed to keep the long-distance romance private” by spending time at her residence in Canada.
A third insider revealed, “Pam cooks and gardens at home… it’s wholesome and appealing and very un-Hollywood and Liam loves that.”
Pamela had previously discussed her “natural chemistry” with Liam during filming. Speaking on the Today Show, she explained: “We just had this natural chemistry, and we had a great script, a great director.”
Liam chimed in: “And we’re both silly,” prompting Pamela to agree, “Yeah.”
Liam went on to say: “We discovered a silly bone in each other. Pamela also addressed rumors that she was set to have a role in 1994’s The Naked Gun 33 1/2 and admitted that while she heard “some talk” about it, she is “glad” she is able to be in this version of the film at this time.”
In the comedy flick, Frank Drebin (portrayed by Neeson), alongside his colleague Ed Hocken Jr. (Paul Walter Hauser), creates mayhem wherever he goes, much to the frustration of his long-suffering superior, Chief Davis (CCH Pounder), reports the Irish Star.
When an employee at the electric vehicle firm owned by business tycoon Richard Cane (Danny Huston) is found dead inside one of the vehicles, Frank and Ed begin their probe. The deceased’s charismatic sibling, Beth Davenport (Pamela Anderson), implores the officers to expose the truth, During their enquiry Frank provokes Cane’s devoted aide, Sig Gustafson (Kevin Durand).
