Peter Andre has spoken out about “drama with exes” just days after his former wife Katie Price hit out at his wife Emily MacDonagh, who claimed was vastly different to her
Peter Andre has dished out advice on managing “drama with exes” in his latest New! Magazine column, following his ex-wife Katie Price’s recent remark about his wife Emily MacDonagh.
Reality TV titan Katie claimed that her and Peter’s children struggle to understand that they were once a couple because of the stark contrast between her and Emily.
Speaking on a podcast with comedian Katherine Ryan, Katie revealed: “I said to her, ‘I was with your dad for six years – trust me, we had a laugh, banter together. We did,” adding, “She can’t believe that whenever he went everywhere or me, we were together with the kids – we’d go as a family. She’s like, ‘Emily doesn’t do all that,’ for Pete.”
While Peter and Emily chose not to respond to Katie’s comments, he did share his thoughts on Sam Thompson’s encounter with his ex Zara McDermott’s new boyfriend Louis Tomlinson.
In his column, Peter expressed: “Sam Thompson and Louis Tomlinson were both at Soccer Aid together for an incredible cause. The fact they’ve both been involved with Zara McDermott at some point is secondary for me,” reports the Mirror.
He went on to advise: “I think people will always try to make a fuss about dramas with exes, but we don’t know what happened, and having been part of Soccer Aid in the past, I know people just focus on the game and the cause, everything else is left off the pitch. That’s how it should be.”
Peter and Katie’s encounter in the 2004 I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! led to swift nuptials the following year, however, their romance came to an end in 2009.
Katie’s jibes about Emily sparked a flood of social media feedback, including comments “The one who got away. Quite possibly the love of her life.”
In the face of this negativity, a source revealed that Pete is sick and tired of being thrust back into what he views as “ancient history” and is itching for it all to stop. “Peter moved on a long time ago and is fed up of her talking about him because it was such a long time ago that they split,” the insider divulged.
The constant mentions have repercussions for his loved ones, particularly Emily. Aware that their union had run its course at the time of their separation 16 years prior, he reportedly just wishes for Katie to also consign it to history.
