Love Island star Shaughna Phillips has opened up on her second pregnancy, saying it’s “scary” how quickly time is going as she prepares to welcome a baby girl later this year
Shaughna Phillips has excitedly provided fans with the latest on her pregnancy journey as she eagerly anticipates the arrival of her second child.
The 31-year-old Love Island star is set to welcome a baby girl later in the year.
Already a mum to two year old Lucia, whom she shares with her partner Billy Webb, the couple are gearing up for their family to grow this November.
Opening up about her current experience, Shaughna confessed: “I’m feeling okay but the last week or two has had me by the balls.”
Despite an overall smooth-sailing pregnancy, she’s recently been battling fatigue and relentless heartburn, admitting, “I’ve had a really easy pregnancy I can’t complain but the last couple of days I’ve been knackered and fighting for my life with heartburn.”, reports OK!.
April 2023 saw the arrival of little Lucia, and Shaughna notes how this pregnancy seems to be whizzing past.
Speaking candidly for Card Player, she reflected on the differences between her first and second pregnancies: “I feel like your first time you have nothing to compare it to and you have the grace of being a bit of a drama queen.”
She humorously added that while you can play the pregnancy card the first time around, having a toddler changes the game: “You can say ‘I can’t do that I’m pregnant’ and people have to respect it whereas when you’ve got a toddler, who couldn’t care how pregnant I am, she wants this and wants that and she wants it now so you just have to get on with it.
“The second one just flies by. It’s scary how quickly it’s going. This baby is going to be thrown into the mix and have no idea what’s going on whereas with Lucia it was all hummingbirds and quiet, this time it’s going to be crazy.”
The reality TV favourite took to Instagram on Tuesday (July 29) to post a gender reveal clip, featuring her partner Billy and their daughter Lucia, sharing the joyous news with her followers.
Shaughna, sitting next to Billy, was seen grinning from ear to ear as she unveiled a box filled with charming pink items, indicating they’re expecting a baby girl.
In the heartwarming clip, Shaughna is spotted in the garden alongside her boyfriend, whose face is concealed by a white heart emoji.
Their daughter Lucia stands before them, giggling as Billy tickles her, just before the gender of their soon-to-be sibling is disclosed.
Shaughna then opens the large box, revealing an array of adorable items and a plush toy.
Shaughna first entered the public eye during the sixth series of Love Island in 2020, although she didn’t find love in the villa.
