A TV boss who worked on The Real Housewives of New York City and Salt Lake City, recently died just minutes after giving birth to her son, with tributes pouring in
A top executive from the Real Housewives TV empire has tragically passed away during childbirth.
Lauren Miller, who played a pivotal role in the Real Housewives of New York City and Salt Lake City editions, died shortly after welcoming her son Jackson into the world on June 9. Shed Media, the production company behind the reality series, released a heartfelt statement confirming Lauren’s untimely passing.
Their statement read: “It is with devastated hearts that we share that our beloved colleague, Lauren, died unexpectedly just moments after giving birth to her baby boy. Lauren leaves behind her husband, Kevin, three-year-old daughter Emma and newborn son Jackson.”
Kevin, Lauren’s bereaved husband, penned a poignant message saying: “Lauren is the love of my life and I was blessed by God that she chose to spend her life with me and give me two beautiful children to remember her every minute of everyday.”
He also expressed his gratitude for the support and asked for prayers: “Please pray for our family and thank you all for the prayers, kind words and thoughts. God bless.”, reports the Mirror.
Stars from the Real Housewives series have been paying their respects to Lauren.
Tamra Judge from the Orange County franchise commented: “Prayers for her family and friends. This is absolutely heartbreaking.”
Heather Gay from Salt Lake City shared a broken heart emoji, while Sai de Silva from New York City expressed her sorrow with several crying emojis.
A GoFundMe page has been launched for Lauren’s family by her colleagues, which has already amassed over $131,000. The fundraising page stated: “This unimaginable loss is impossible to comprehend and the hole that Lauren has left in this world and in her own family, is an impossible one to ever fill.
“We are heartbroken for her beloved husband, Kevin, who must now unexpectedly shoulder the sole responsibility of raising their two children … Emma (3) and newborn Jackson, who is still in the NICU. That the day Lauren was so eagerly awaiting should end in tragedy is truly unfathomable.”
They continued: “Anyone that knew Lauren was touched by her warm smile, kind heart and thoughtful, intuitive nature. She was the kind of person who could comfort you with just a few words, because she always spoke from the heart.
“She was sincere, intentional and compassionate, but among her greatest qualities was the love she had for her family. It was no secret how close she was to her entire family or how thrilled she was when she got to start her own.
“From getting engaged to Kevin and then tying the knot to becoming a mother first with Emma and next with Jackson, Lauren radiated joy whenever she talked about all that she had with her beautiful family.”
The post concluded: “The devastating loss of Lauren is far-reaching and we all feel helpless in the face of such grief. But we can unite now to help take care of the thing Lauren cherished beyond all else: her family.”
In a Friday update, Lauren’s colleagues shared that baby Jackson has been discharged from the NICU and is now at home with his father Kevin and sister Emma.
